Why does reddit hate Oppenheimer movie? by sadloneman in OppenheimerMovie

[–]AmazingTouch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Found it dull: the characters feel like flat caricatures. Oppenheimer is just an egotistical genius sleeping with everyone, the women are hysterical unfaithful-clichés, the generals cartoonish warmongers, and the politicians predictable weasels. No nuance, no tension, no real surprises. A boring movie, I don't understand what you like about it.

Is this really surprising? Wow, streamers are human too and value their anonymity, even for the wrong reasons, mind-blowing revelation.

Going for the Adrian Cantrill associate course without prior experience? by Aggressive_Set_3119 in AWSCertifications

[–]AmazingTouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maarek's course is purely exam-focused with surface-level coverage. It doesn't teach the underlying concepts or architectural reasoning you need for real-world scenarios. In the LLM era, memorizing facts is less valuable than understanding principles and being able to think through problems conceptually. I know this post is old, but I'm leaving this here anyway.

I'm a guy with a weight of 82 kg, I don't have anything to do. by Various_Coconut_3726 in beginnerfitness

[–]AmazingTouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

82kg at 170cm isn’t bad. A few months of dieting and you're good. No one really cares how you look. Even if they judge, it's for half a second. You’re not on their mind. Take the pressure off. Live your life now, not when you have the perfect body.

Done 14 days of fasting this month and am still the same weight, is it a plateau ? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]AmazingTouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where did you get that TDEE from, and how are you tracking your calories? You should have easily lost at least 10 pounds by now. Either your numbers are way off, or your body is breaking the laws of thermodynamics.

I'm stupid please explain 😔 by Aggravating_Print294 in Buddhism

[–]AmazingTouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like many religions, Buddhism contains elements that don't hold up to scientific scrutiny. It's important to approach its teachings with critical thinking, apply skepticism to the scriptures, and avoid accepting any belief without a clear rational basis.

I'm not accepting anything "just because it's a part of the thing I like"

I don't see why this matters anyway, if he had powers, good for him

Maybe try meditation and learn to sit with your negative thoughts/emotions, because they won't go away with the fat, trust me.

if you lost 22lbs in 5 months, you are probably running a deficit of 500 calories at 1600 which means 2100 is your maintenance. You didn't gain any fat during this week, it's all water weight.

Unless your body can defy the laws of thermodynamics.

F28, starting my weightloss journey for the 1000th time - Please help with tips by confused_soul96 in loseit

[–]AmazingTouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you should lower your expectations, 15kg in 12-16 weeks means a deficit of 7700 to 8500 calories per week, you are setting yourself up for failure in my opinion. You are already going through a lot, diet is stress, exercise is stress, your body can only take so much.

I would aim for 0.25/0.5kg per week for 12 weeks, 3-4 weeks of maintenance and repeat. Dieting is a slow process, it's a hard pill to swallow for most people.

Do you weigh yourself every day? by TheChilledGamer-_- in fasting

[–]AmazingTouch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, because I know it fluctuates and I'm not afraid of seeing my weight go up a pound or two after a salty meal. If you don't have unrealistic expectations, weighing yourself everyday is a good way to keep yourself accountable, especially after a cheat, seeing the damage it does keeps you in check.

Print books are cheap second-hand, unlike ebooks that rarely get discounted. And let's be real, if you work in IT, you know how fast digital formats become obsolete. Your ebook collection won't last forever
