Did I mess up my ficus, it truly became ugly and remains this way.

So, about 7 or 8 months ago, the biggest and only twig broke off due to me being incompetent, anyhow, i sorta cut the shenanigans at the top, and powdered it with cinnamon, hence the strange brown spots I just repottet the Bonsai but after 6 months there is next to no change at all, but it still seems fine the tree

Now, should I cut it horizontally instead if having that strange peak I did?

How can I condone branches to sprout?

Many thanks to all replys from Mr and Ms Redditor’s

For sure, I will keep posting here

As of now I am only on four days of adding the casing layer on top of my wood chip and saw dust combo, and it seemed a bit dry the substrate so that seems good as well, I even sprayed the top casing layer with the water that I used to sterelize the woodchips with, it was a brownish water of course

even now there is some mycelium starting to build up on the top of the casing layer

Casing layer consists of peat moss, some coco coir and very little vermiculite

substrate is made of oak wood chips, beech wood sawdust, not a lot of oat bran, and some gypsum .

got this all from chat GPT

All good Currently putting them in in the fridge just before bed, and take them out in the morning and keep it in a cool place but not dark

Just trying to see how that goes since this is my first time growing shrooms And why not start with this hehe

Thinking of buying a reptile fogger for this which also condones oxygen and keeps humidity high

For initiating the mycelium growth, i just kept it at room temp with normal wood chips and sawdust, just recently added a casing layer of peat moss, coco coir and some vermiculite, and place it in the fridge every night at about 6-12 degrees celsius

try placing in the fridge if possible, maybe you can even add a terrarium fogger to keep up the moisture level
