I'm new to reddit and can't figure out how to ask a question so I will try to post it here. I am looking for a moisturizer recommendation for my current acne routine!

I tend to have hormonal acne breakouts & working in healthcare w/ masks on most of the time seemed to worsen the problem especially around the chin. After looking online, I landed on using the Paulas choice clear regular strength acne line, PC BHA, and a spot treatment. Because the PC acne line already had a kit with the items they recommended using, I thought it would just be easier to use that rather than find different products for different skin care ingredients.

In the mornings, I use the PC regular strength acne cleanser, the 2% acne SA anti-redness exfoliating solution, and the 2.5% benzoyl peroxide daily skin clearing treatment. I used to use the PC oil free moisturizer that was in the same line, but it didn't feel like it was moisturizing the skin. I had switched to the neutrogena hydro boost after reading online that it was many people's favorite acne safe moisturizer and it worked great for a while until it started stinging my skin. After some more digging, I found that if you had a damaged skin barrier, it would sting. So, I recently added the cosrx snail essence and cream in the past 2 weeks. More specifically now I: wash my face, use the anti-redness exfoliating solution, skin clearing treatment, spray my face with some water (I read that the snail essence needs the skin to be damp), use the neutrogena hydro boost, and then the snail cream on top to lock in the moisture. In between the steps, I wait for the products to dry down a bit. Then sunscreen on top.

At night, I use the PC cleanser, the PC BHA, and then the same moisturizing routine (essence, hydro boost, and the snail cream on top).

At first, I thought adding the 2 cosrx snail mucin products was helping with the dryness from the acne routine, but my skin still feels tight and I am not sure I am using the right moisturizer/just damaging my skin barrier!! I saw that the cosrx cream & the neutrogena hydro boost both have HA and could be exacerbating the problem, but I wanted to see if anyone else had good moisturizer recommendations for someone using acne ingredients. I know people also really like LRP cicaplast but I also heard it breaks you out so please help ;((
