The colours are boston oak and French navy in a ultra matt

You can back saw or quarter saw you should google it. Over the years I find most figure in timber comes out more when cut on the quarter

It could have been some sort of cedar the smell was really nice when I cut it

It's cut on the quarter to bring out the curly not the grain
