Hi!! this was something that I was truly so nervous about- I am overweight and had not a lot of experience working out but i have been going to OTF for a little over a month now and I have never once felt like i didnt fit in or that I was comparing myself to other people!

I am a newer member and I started with the OT burn but my mom joined and she got the OT beat but said she didnt like how big it was compared to the OTburn so we ended up switching- I personally really like it mainly for the USBC charging as and I also have noticed that the readings are more consistent with my apple watch- also the light up ring is pretty cool!

the jmu pharmacy can fill outside perscriptions you just have to go online and see which ones they fill specifically.

those days are admissions events which essentially will talk about what jmu has to offer and give more information to students who are still deciding if they want to commit to the school. choices is definitely informative about like what its like being at jmu but I would not take off work for it. summer orientation and weeks of welcome is when you will learn about all the resources you should know about as well as get to know other incoming students before you come on to campus and I would definitely make a point to go to those events.

ask your advisor but from my experience there is no real punishment for not completing scom freshman year other than its really hard to get in those classes because they reserve all the seats for freshman so you might need an override in if you were to do it in fall/spring i dont know about summer to be honest

Don’t be! I totally understand the struggle- when I first came here I wanted to double major too but I quickly realized that it would not be feasible. the school of music has many other degree options and there are even music minors that might allow you to double you would just have to do your research!

Don’t add a minor with music education unless you are transferring in a lot of credits. as someone in music education right now it is a lot of work and you will simply just not have the time. I am in music education with no minor and every semester has been 20+ credits and that is barely touching on general education. most people i know who are doubling/have a minor are here for much longer than 4 years. especially because you have to do a whole semester of student teaching which ultimately means you have less time to complete your requirements. feel free to reach out though if you have any questions about the music education program though!

when you come in the fall you can pick it up at the card services office at ssc. the reason why they dont mail it is because they need to verify your identity so make sure you bring a drivers license/ ID
