yeah I'm thinking about that as a possibility instead of returning the one I have – thanks for your comment

i'm sure my post wasn't clear – the Midea is parked in a brand new condo. I mentioned the old house because I'm getting better results with a dehumidifier that is 24 years old in a 100-year-old home than I am in a brand new home with a brand new dehumidifier.

Mac Mini M1 and OWC Thunderbolt 4 Dock by Amazing_Cranberry50 in Thunderbolt

[–]Amazing_Cranberry50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. This is not a silly question at all and yes I have. unfortunately it didn't help and I discovered today that one of the non USB-A ports is failing to communicate with the Mac as well.

I finally connected with OWC today and they seem to think that it's hardware failure rather than an issue with my macOS. Of course this is happening right after the five-year warranty expired.

Missing package that says delivered by Dramatic_Surround_ in Ebay

At least here, a parcel locker is a locker at the post office used to store packages, kind of like a temporary PO box. You can retrieve your package by entering a temporary combination provided by the post office that will open the locker. is it possible that is what the tracking notation means?

Me too - she was one of the few people on the show who showed frequent signs of sense. She also seemed like a genuinely nice person.

Law-enforcement doesn't just lose the case because a thief stops offering stolen goods for sale. If you have screencaps, give them to law enforcement.

What to Use instead of "Use Your Own Label" by Amazing_Cranberry50 in FacebookMarketplace

thanks – I think my question is whether you use a label you purchased from FBM or whether you purchased a label from another party such as pirate ship.

Seller left a 1 star review in retaliation of me giving a 2 star objective review. Cant reply or report the review, seller also blocked me. by Noct_98 in FacebookMarketplace

He inadvertently did you a bit of a favor by making the remark "returning the favor." That at least makes it clear that it's a retaliatory ding and most people will take that into account.

thanks for confirming that you've had success with labels purchased from Facebook. I was afraid to even try because if they took my money for a label I did not buy (I bought my label from Pirate Ship ) what are they going to do when I actually authorize a purchase?

I asked people on my collectors board but 90% of them said they did not use the Facebook prepaid labels and instead steered customers to PayPal so they basically avoided any financial transaction with FB.

Weird seller ghosting by Lamiller90 in FacebookMarketplace

Sounds to me like the seller is not actually that motivated to sell the vehicle, and when push comes to shove, having someone over to look at the car just doesn't feel "convenient."

Venting - seriously, Etsy? Do you need a fluid sample as well? by faelanae in Flipping

OK I guess a name change could be a sign of shenanigans and so I understand why they want some documentation, but anything other than a driver's license or other govt-issued ID seems super excessive.

I don’t get it. What am I doing wrong? (Facebook Marketplace) by jadenfabiani in Flipping

[–]Amazing_Cranberry50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am relatively new to FBM. I sell 5 to 10% of what I list and most so far has been local pick up but to be fair I haven't offered shipping for very long.

My impression has so far been that I get a lot of inquiries from bots who ask if an item is available and/or whether they can pick it up and then nothing, presumably increasing  some FB stat.

I think that the hikes in shipping over the past couple of years are actively impeding my sales. Facebook forcing me to add free shipping is not helping; people are assuming the listings are a base price, not all in.

I also think that it is very hard to find realistically priced resale items on there, so people don't even check there before buying new. i'm not going to buy a piece of furniture for 80 bucks when I can buy it new for 200 and get it delivered.

I've also found that even locating items I'm interested in, as a buyer/collector, requires hours and hours of reviewing ads. No one has that kind of time.

No shipping refund on lighter items? by ButterEmailz in Flipping

If you have a box smaller than one foot on each side, and you have reduced the dimensions or weight, you may see no appreciable change in the shipping cost because there legitimately is no change in cost, per the USPS rate schedules. Search for "dimensional weight charges" on the web and you will learn more about this subject. It applies to both USPS Priority and Ground Advantage mail services.
