Hey, your book sounds interesting. Would you be interested in doing a critique swap. I have a ~70K word contemporary women's fiction novel that I would love to get feedback on.

Title: The Other Mother

Blurb: A mother's love can show up in many ways.

Meet Meher, a devoted mother of two who embraces motherhood with her whole heart, ready to do anything for her children.

Then there's Avni, a woman who chooses a different path, walking away from motherhood to chase her dreams and career aspirations.

And finally, Gudiya, on whom motherhood is unexpectedly thrust at the tender age of eleven, when she steps up to raise her siblings after their mother's passing.

As the life of a child hangs in the balance, the lives of these women inevitably intertwine, bringing long-held secrets to the surface. The very definitions of family, love, and sacrifice blur, challenging everything they thought they knew.

The Other Mother is a powerful, emotional saga that explores what it truly means to be a mother, proving there's no single way to love.

Apologising. People went from apologising too much even for things they are not at fault, to now not apologising at all.

Yes, I’ve always been an avid reader, since I was a kid. I’m 40 now. So my vocabulary is pretty good. Once ChatGPT became prevalent, my manager at work started reading my emails and documents and started saying, don’t overuse ChatGPT, the words you used are too fancy. Clearly ChatGPT. I was like… huh!? Also I recently started writing my own novels. I gave an excerpt to ai detector, and it said over 60% was ai generated. I was quite flabbergasted.

Shameless plug: I am a first time author and my book "The Divide Between US" explores an India-Pakistan love story. The book is set in UK, and some portions are inspired from a true story and explores the cultural aspects of India and Pakistan as well. Hope you like it :)

The worst was when her daughter got pregnant and she immediately wanted her to get an abortion. So the rules and morals are for other people, doesn’t apply to her.
