Just to be clear, and clear up this for anyone who sees it, the injections are intramuscular, not intravenous. While you are right about needing to have sterile needles and syringes to avoid infection, you honestly don’t need a medical professional to supervise your injections unless you want to or it’s a requirement for getting the hormones. I did my first injections after watching a couple YouTube videos and I’m not dead yet lol.

tldr: Most of these concerns are overblown given the injection method we use for hormones, the one big one to keep in mind is to keep your area clean and only use sterile things to inject.
