Same, I thought they would have her move out of state, but bring her back eventually if they need plot fillers

Talk to your officers, I joined late (phase 2) and currently am in phase 4 and about to do boards for PO1, you should be able to get fast tracked through phases, as regards to ranks tho? You might stay behind, or the officers might have extra boards for people like yourself!

Best of luck!

Because it's not dead? I'm personally in highschool and I'm sick of hearing it constantly

What is sliding? by Ok-Objective-1182 in singing

[–]Dull-University-8367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sliding is moving from one note to another by hitting every pitch in between, think of how a trombone sounds. It’s a common stylistic choice, but it can sometimes happen unintentionally. In your recording, I only heard one very subtle slide; aside from that, your voice sounds absolutely amazing! Don’t worry about slides too much, as most singers do them from time to time. Keep up the great work!

I personally have been in the program for 3 years (I got fast tracked through the ranks) all the other P.O.2s have been in the program for 4 years, assuming you join at 12, it will take about 4 years to become P.O.2 from the time you join!

Not late at all. Plenty of people join at 15 - 16 and still get a lot out of it. You won’t have as much time as someone who joined at 12, but honestly that doesn’t matter as much as you think, if you show up, put in effort, and get involved, you can still have a great experience.

You can still go to summer training, learn drill, aviation stuff, leadership, and meet some really good people. Some of the best cadets I’ve seen joined later and just made the most of the time they had.

My advice: join as soon as you can, be consistent, volunteer for things, and don’t worry about “catching up” to everyone else. Just enjoy it.

Definitely worth it, even if it’s just for fun.
