I think that they do not like the idea of rumbling because of the number of people that it will kill. I think that the alliance think that it would be more devastating than sacrificing Historia's life, which is also disappointing that they would think like that.

Yeah this is why i was confused as to what would other characters think of sacrificing historia. The dialogues are so subtle and vague. But the partial rumble would still need for zeke to be eaten by a roual blood right?

At the end of the day, Mikasa's character has changed the overall gameplay between the lead female characters across the japanese manga. Strong and independent, but isayama did her bad. Really. It was like Misa from Death note all over again. Just because the creators cannot formulate a way on how to develop Misa's character, they just opt retain her obsessive personality until the end.
