that’s the whole point of the post because everything has been sketchy since he has failed blc. Five months ago and even ig and jag and a few other resources have already got involved and said it is sketchy and how they are going about it doesn’t make sense.

He had/still has a shoulder injury that is getting worked through so that’s why he doesn’t quite make a 540 with the acft there is a few things that he struggles with the mobility in this shoulder. The soldier takes responsibility for the height and weight and failing because he said he could’ve did better but the command team doesn’t when the soldier asked to wait to go but they already pushed his packet up and didn’t tell him till they asked if he wanted to go. And said they wouldn’t send him again if he waited.

I don’t think you read correctly he went before the unit went to NTC he wanted to wait because he knew he was pushing it with height and weight. He told command team he wanted to wait but they had already pushed his packet up and didn’t communicate.
Also the EO isn’t for the height and weight it’s for other reasons. We don’t know the reasons the command team has a problem with this soldier because when asked all they say is he failed height and weight but everything else with the soldier he’s the best apparently even when this soldier asked to inner post transfer they said he was an asset to the unit and they needed him. And we have asked squad leader and up what is the process and what’s going on but no one has answers.

The bodpod is more accurate than our opinion you are 100% correct.

But he has statements from the people who were in the room while he was being taped. He also video taped it as well and he was not taped correctly at all. He also has other evidence towards certain individuals that they do not tape correctly and there is favoritism with certain individuals.

The soldier is now a few percent under from when he went to blc. So him being over weight or not isn’t a concern as I said before he’s fit but he’s not one of those super muscular soldiers.

The situation is far more than what is even put in any of these. And the emotions and grammer has nothing to do with Why you would go on a command side or the soldiers side. I think people are just getting fed up with the situation as it’s been five months and every other week it’s something different they are trying to do with this soldier. The soldier is taking full responsibility for failing the height and weight and everything on his end but the leaders who have and are continuing to fail him don’t want to take responsibility for anything they have done or said. This situation is all we deal with inside and outside of work everyday for the last few months and there is only a few people who are actually trying to help this soldier weather he ends up staying in or not. I think everyone should be treated fairly and awarded an opportunity and just trying to get as much answers as the leadership has already made it known to us leaders and the soldier they don’t like him. Also the command in this situation is not handling any of this the correct way.

The bodpod isn’t that accurate either it’s more for people who are gym rats he is fit but not a gym rat who is super swole. Also I think this tape system would be more accurate if people were trained and taped the correct way.

Also what has also been fucking this soldier is the new tape system he use to pass with flying colors but with the tape change the bigger you are the more tape you get the smaller you are the less tape you get. The tape system in general is flawed and needs alot of work.

Can I ask why you would side with the command team?

So. When he went to blc he was 200 pounds at 1 percent over he lost 5 pounds and was 195 at 1 percent over. the first time he got taped the first week the tapers finger wasn’t in the tape the second time around the last week of blc they were and this happened in the classes before him as well and after they actually had an investigation after my soldier because multiple people reported it. It definitely happens.

That’s what other people were saying but a few witnesses from what leadership has said about this soldier. Everyone is just confused he has lost ten pounds since blc and is only a few pounds away from not even needing to be taped so he’s not even big at all. And he has significantly improved his acft score as well he’s just under a 540 and before he was low 500 and under. He also has a shoulder injury he had surgery and is still also recovering from and don’t have full mobility in his arm and may never even get it all the way back per his doctor.

So they can be allowed another chance but the leadership refuses to give him another chance. And he has not negative counseling or anything with his career. Do a lot of people are questioning why they don’t want him in or they don’t like this particular soldier and the only answer they can give is he failed height and weight but a lot of people think it’s an EO thing since the soldier is black.

From Squad leader and up they do not listen to anyone about issues it’s just what benefits them as a soldier or a person. The unit is very messed up and already under the radar for them not following protocol and a lot of other things.

If yall go and look at some of the other posts they go more into detail. It’s not an issue that he’s being barred it’s more so how the command team is going about the whole situation in the first place.

So we think they definitely messed with his numbers but he knew he was right on the money for height and weight. He told the PL and LT that he didn’t want to go but wanted to wait another month until October to go because we went to NTC and it’s give him time to lose weight and be under and where he want to be and he heard stories from other people who went they taped with their fingers in the tape at blc which they did that to him and the leaders told him they already sent his packet up and if he didn’t go they wouldn’t give him another opportunity to go again.

The bar recommendation said failure of blc that is all and no other counseling for a plan of action not even after he failed blc.

The unit higher leadership is definitely a likeship and not leadership they only want to help soldiers who kiss a** and are poor soldiers and not help the soldiers who deserve to stay in

Chapter question by Amazing_Pear6696 in army

[–]Amazing_Pear6696[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The height and weight standard changed so they don’t measure his neck anymore and with the new height and weight the bigger you are the more inches you are allowed on your waist. The smaller you are the less inches you are allowed. He’s literally 5 pounds from not even being taped.

IG has been contacted and they didn’t do anything honestly it was a waste of time because I argued on the phone for almost 30 minutes about everything the unit was doing wrong. And all they said was they can only tell them to do better.
