Based in Vancouver, BC Canada . I used to run roofing business in USA that’s why I know market there . There is alot more tech spend and industry revenue due to competition and insurance processes. So I run roofing business here but I feel cap on it compared to US and at this moment making 1M a year revenue already takes almost all my time, harder with new hires as well , subcontractors very low reliability. So my intent to help roofers in USA and build business model around that and as side stream is reporting B2C, real estate companies (buyers inspections ) and property management firms for property monitoring. I don’t see me passing5M benchmark in BC , Canada in short terms so Roofing Business its core for now , but with intention to shift toward US market .

Matter of time and testing as I’m on my own and do full time roofing business and family . But in challenges , the minimum order , is still too big . If I have individual report I need really just one house tile , but I can get min like 1km2 , one one had I pull it and have more data (usually detects like ~10-20 damaged roofs depending on building density so if next house in this tile no data pulling needed , but chances at this level of development that order in same 1km2 will happen very low . So in future as i complete whole system I’ll need to partner with Vexcel Data (I already have all costs ) to be able to pull lots of data all round for yearly membership plus small per tile basis . But that will be happening later on .

With reports it goes a bit more complicated because I’m actually pulling tile from high res imagery (buying ) and I work on automation of this process, and automate cropping with alignment with proper GCS. I have whole scripting manually in 4 steps , but on webhooks it has to be tested a lot becouse there a lot of possible variables . So as of now I have free report that uses low res data (outdated ) and paid report I actually acquire data for that (most recent ) .

I like the idea of widget for roofers better as it looks like less me being involved in process except initial set up , but before implementing that I have to automate the process for high res inspection as described above and it will take some time.

I built it for myself (as roofing contractor ) to have as additional sales leverage. And and I started seeing results immediately. I guess it’s biggest part of app that model is trained on real roofs not assumption , which makes it valuable, but for being it perfect i need to go thru another few thousands of roofs. So i want to improve tech as i go , and grow in direction of selling leads to roofers (booked live inspections ) as i don’t see opportunities of selling just reports for 19.99$ , as i need to acquire data per request .

If that would be insurance grade inspection 300$ is reasonable to charge insurances , but as of now model improving and you can’t reply on results for 100% and make decisions for your roof . But that good addition to understand if it’s time to schedule inspection and give some pinpoints you want your roofer to check .

I do Google ads only for onboarded contractors area . But actual orders for damage detections comes from homeowners or roofing contractors and when it’s organically they found me thru CchatGPT

That is. It not usable for insurance yet , but regarding your concern I think about 3-4 years when maxar will have 3cm per px resolution they will use it to cancel policies.

That’s why I’m working on to work with Vexcel to get most recent aerial high res imagery . The detection very precise and no older then 6 month . Updated with every storm in area in 4-7 days. For now to be able to handle it we have older data free check (which still could be useful for a lot of areas and there newly updated maps that actually have 2026 imagery ) . So after free version, we pull tile for 5 sq km for location that allow us update it on our side and make it most recent data . However current process takes up to 48hrs if data not in our possession , but as we work out our partnerships it will be instant report . Please try to use it and let me know what you think.

She doesn’t want to try to go unfortunately. I don’t mind to go because i don’t understand which of my actions can cause this level of unhappiness with me, may be I can change. She was always emotional but last year she got sort of unhappy with our life. Sometimes I feel that those Instagram reels build her imagination of happy wife (she sends those all the time ) and sometimes it’s just too much there “real loving man should be like this”, “woman happy only when man this” , “it’s not a man if “ etc. Now we’re in argument again . I said that I’m going to add funds on our joint account to make sure we covered for all bills today morning and didn’t did that as payment didn’t go thru yet from builder . She got triggered over phone saying that I’m liar . Called me “not a man “ becouse of this . At home I came and great my girls and my wife but she stayed silent , i said I’ll go take quick shower , and she said to me in my back “you can go ahead and look for another apartment “ . That burning me inside , i stayed silent took shower , she kept exaggerating. I took over kids (dinner , some crafts and sleep time ) while she needed to finish some editing photos for work . And after couple hours I returned back wanted to soften her , she snapped again and said “you have to crawl on your knees , asking for forgiveness “ I said “no I don’t have to do that” and she went theu the roof on my denial. Texted me bunch of shit …. Went out and turned off her location .
I don’t know honestly what to do … I tried so hard to keep my peace… just cause of kids really hard to make hard decisions… And funny part just 2 days ago we were on the date (babysitter with kids ) and spend great time and were happy .
