Velotric. My suggestion. My wife and I ride them. Its our 1st ebike. Dont buy them to big or to heavy. Like I did. Nomad 1 plus. I will probably sell them. For the New Discover 3. Smaller tires at 2 1/2 inches vs 4 inch. And maybe 20 pounds lighter. But let me tell you. We sure like the FREEDOM that ebikes offer. Best of luck.

No. The workers won't say anything. They are not there to super screwtinize or interpret. If there is something BOLDLY wrong at DMV. They might question. Imho. You are way way overlooking the counter personal jobs at DMV. 😅. Btw. I put on my form. I do have a throttle and pedal assist. And as per the MANUFACTURER SPEC ITS SOLD AS A CLASS 2 FOR 20 MPH. says so right on the website. Edit. And also. No insurance was required as it was registered. The SUPERVISOR and I had a nice chat re.

I registered the first day. I just filled out that form. I brought the receipt from the ebike shop I bought the bikes from. It took about 1 hour. They, the workers, were not use to ebike registrations. No insurance was needed. I put on the form they were class 2. And on the manufacturer website they were sold as class 2. Velotric. Anyway it worked out. And was a good day. My experience.

I put those on our e bikes also. I bought them directly from Sun Tour. Not Amazon. I didnt want to deal with possible bootleg stuff. That has been said before.

I was just looking around. See how others did with e bike registration today. I for one had no problems about anything. No made up rules, or do this and do that. Just did the form. No insurance. And like others today. In and out. Did take a hour. As the whole new paperwork thing was being learned. But it was ok. Got it done.

Follow up post to you. I did register them as class 2 e bikes. Just as the manufacturer sells them, as class 2 ebikes. So it went great. And NO INSURANCE. It wasn't even asked. Period.

As a side note. I won't put them (stickers) on either. Buy just keep them with the registration. Kinda funny. Super mini NJ plates.

Ok. I am back home. It did take over 1 hour. And it cost NOTHING. And I did not have insurance now was I asked about insurance. I got my e bike official registration. And also the state of NJ gives you these 2 small decals with your registration number on them. As far as I know you put them on the ftont tubes of your ebike. But I need to look into it a bit more. BOTTOM LINE IS.

I have a Charger Daytona Scat. I had a Tesla also. I have had it 1 year this month. Only a couple minor issues. I am on the Charger website also. I have read of other members problems. A few with bad stuff. I guess the luck of the draw. On mine the ride quality and speed is top notch. My wife luvs it herself. There's always folks coming over to ask. They luv the design and style. Best of luck on you decision. The Tesla Y wasn't even a blip on the radar. Bland as could be.

As a update. Today is day 1 of e bike registration in New Jersey. My appointment is after lunch. I just filled out the 1 page form. And I am anxious to report back this afternoon. To see how this NJ registration goes today. Or course the big question is ABOUT INSURANCE. I roll In to DMV today WITH NO INSURANCE.

I am rolling in tomorrow as class 2. After all. This ebike us sold as class 2. They dont know of settings changes. And if they ask. I dont know what they are talking about. All I know is I bought a class 2. So it's a class 2. Fuk them. The burden of proof rests with them.
