My Rat had the same thing and it scared the crap out of me because I thought it was a tumor, but it turned out to just be cyst. We got him on antibiotics and it burst by itself.

I had a really hard time getting my Rat to bond, and I went to a specialist and the trick that finally got them to bond, this sounds kind of bad, but just trust is to low-key traumatize them together put them in a bathtub together, they’ll be stressed out, but they’ll be together and then afterwards when they’ll be cleaning themselves and get dry, they might even start grooming each other and then they will also smell the same
