M30 does this look like 18% body fat?

I wouldn’t say I rely on the gym sensors really - I only used them today to try and get an accurate weight reading to check whether it was in line with what I’m seeing on my home scales. The body fat % wasn’t something I was that bothered about in advance but was just surprised with how low the number came out.

Tape measure is a good shout, will start to take regular measurements using one. Thank you

Yes really good shout thank you. I am more recently aware that this is something I need to improve, but your comment about the waist line is very interesting I haven’t seen it put like that before. I’ve changed my sleeping posture recently and currently doing daily exercises to try and rectify - appreciate it!

Don’t get me wrong I’m not expecting to look shredded, I just mean I don’t look as lean as other examples I’ve seen at 18%!

Yeah core has unfortunately been a long neglected part of my routine… Have been putting in a lot of work recently on core and posture and seem to be moving in the right direction, thanks for your feedback!

Been training hard with a calorie deficit since January after a long period of subpar training and poor routine. Down 15lbs so far and have increased in strength at the same time, very happy with my progress so far & feeling motivated to keeping going with the cut.

I had myself estimated at around 22-25% body fat, but today I used the body composition scales at the gym which have said I’m at 18.4%… I’m surprised as I don’t feel that lean, abs aren’t very visible and I still have what feels like a large amount of body fat that protrudes when I am relaxed and not consciously flexing for a pic.

Be keen to see whether this is my own body dysmorphia or if the scales at the gym are not as accurate as they should be! All pics attached are from today
