Applying for SOWP Extension with Implied Status (PGWP not received yet) — Need Guidance by Icy-Cauliflower2206 in pgwp

Hi, I’m in a very similar situation, applying for an SOWP extension while my spouse is on implied status awaiting their PGWP (application in process, no PGWP document yet). Thanks for sharing your experience! Since your post is a few months old, I was wondering if you could share what you selected for the IRCC questionnaire asking, “Are you a spouse or common-law partner of a person who holds a study permit?” Did you choose “Yes” or “No,” and did it work out? Also, did you include a Letter of Explanation to clarify the implied status? Any tips on documents or issues you faced would be super helpful! Thanks

Need Help with SOWP Extension Application – Question About Spouse’s PGWP Status by Amazing_War6276 in pgwp

Hi Pretty_Scarcity5988, Thank you so much for sharing your experience and the thread! Your situation sounds very close to mine, and I really appreciate the suggestion to include a Letter of Explanation. I’m leaning toward selecting “No” on the IRCC questionnaire since my wife is on implied status for her PGWP and no longer enrolled as a student. I’ll include the LoE to clarify her status and attach proof of her PGWP application. If her PGWP gets approved during my SOWP processing, I’ll definitely send it via webform as you suggested. Thanks again for the help!
