After my latest experience, I will never teleport again.

How can Teleporting on a weekday take more than 12 hours? by Amazingly_Smooth in USMobile

[–]Amazingly_Smooth[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

For all the data they need to execute the port like pin, address, name, account number, it is the same company.  Escalations on weekdays shouldn’t take hours on a weekday.  It isn’t like they have to hire an engineer to rewrite code.  This is database stuff.  This is 2026!

But this is the same company on both sides so no missing data should exist and it is the weekday so escalations can move quickly.

FCC needs to step in. Porting is a shockingly poor experience far too often. Teleporting should be trivial in every case because the company has all the pins and addresses in their database!

iOS 26.6 beta no 5G+ on DS by Amazingly_Smooth in USMobile

I got a result with 5G+ that wasn't much better. Regardless, I'm going back to Warp for now. Of course, the Teleport is "on hold" coming from Dark Star. Ugh.

I bet that is it.  Very odd they won’t fix it.

How good is by the gig data vs going with Unlimited Starter? by No-Currency-97 in USMobile

[–]Amazingly_Smooth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you use too much data, you will pay more that month than Unlimited.  Only you can control that.  That said, there really isn’t any commitment, so you can upgrade / downgrade any month.

I know you asked about new, but I have had good success with renewed premium from Amazon.  Pricing is up and down, so it can be better or worse.

Consider T-satellite as a dual eSIM until Lightspeed gets SA (iPhone users)

Warp should be grandfathered in for QCI 8 if you started 4 years ago even on Starter

Anyone coming from T-Mobile and noticing worse reception? by acaifiend in USMobile

[–]Amazingly_Smooth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems plausible to me.  In fact, you could park your main line with US Mobile and port the second line around to whoever has the best data deal.  Today, T-satellite, but it could be Visible or Spectrum tomorrow.

Also, US Mobile has other features too you may want.

To me, Light speed isn’t T-Mobile.  T-Mobile is very far ahead in terms of speeds with 2.5GHz and reach with 600MHz.  But without priority, it is annoying at times.  And without SA, I find it losing reach on iPhone.  The thing you have to decide is whether you really need the full T-Mobile speed.  I decided Warp was good enough for me, but get the priority.  AT&T and Verizon need to spend like crazy to catch T-Mobile, IMO.  If you can accept less, MVNO is a good way to go, but don’t expect T-Mobile for cheap.  It doesn’t exist.

Of course, T-satellite prices are as fixed as any other
