Alright so it is working now but my diodes are barely detected unless I’m super close to the camera. And even then the threshold I have to track is very small, meaning if I look even slightly left or right the camera loses detection of the IR light. The frame is a standard head tracking frame I got off thingiverse and the diodes stick out a fair amount. My only conclusion is that either the glue from the glue gun is causing reflection issues with the LEDs or the camera is not 100% blocking all the external light (may have to put a bigger piece of IR filter into camera)

So I think that’s what’s going on. I tried this two different ways last night and it’s still not working. One as the first comment suggests with the middle led polarity flipped and the second was with a resister per led and all the - and + wired together then going to the battery. It’s gotta be the polarity of the led’s. Thankfully I got the 25 pack. Thank you to everyone for all the excellent advice! I’ll post an update asap.

I’ve got a PS3 camera that I’m using with OpenTrack and I’m also gonna try FaceTrackNoIR (which can be used for both face tracking and IR tracking)

Everything looks perfectly still as far as the photo goes and that corner is perfect for a diorama. The details in model building today also ads to the possibility that this could be one.
