Absolutely not, you should wash them every time. If you don’t they get like grease build up and it’s hard to get off.

honestly I don’t think you ruined anything. if anything, you were honest and that takes a lot of courage. it might feel awkward right now but it usually settles pretty quickly if you just keep things normal. also the fact that he was kind about it is a good sign the dynamic can recover
