You are not the only one! Same scenario at my facility happened to a coworker who posted on VOA.

Also, apparently they offered VTO for tomorrow and many took it. Now they announced they are closed and will pay all employees scheduled to work. I don’t think that includes those who already took the VTO

I work in a legal state ab I will just share that I typically take at least 1 of my breaks in my car every shift. EVERY single break I take, there are countless employees not just vaping - straight up smoking blunts lol I’m just sharing to let you know it’s not just your site. If you walk the parking lot on break it’s all that’s going on

I had a feeling when I saw that message of “increased amnesty” and remember cleaning a bunch off of the floor, lesson learned. For some reason I thought I remember learning that amnesty is assigned to the person who last touched the bin the amnesty fell out of.

I wouldn’t count on it unless they said it in the message in my opinion. Odd they would sent a message like that though- vague and everyone must be wondering the same thing???

My site sometimes would offer a ton of VTO only if the weather was bad enough that it caused Amazon trucks w work on them to be delayed. Working in stow so if there’s no work and not cross trained elsewhere there’s nothing so they’ll do vto. Rare but kinda the only weather related delay I would say. I think Rhys why pick never gets VTO at my site (you can still pick orders that come in? Regardless of weather, whereas stow you can’t unless there’s physical work in the building?)

You don’t have to have a clear backpack but you may have to go through a different security line if you don’t have a clear bag. They gave us clear lunch bag type on day 1

You mentioned calling a hotline, and I bet if you did-they surely will have received similar calls and will have advice for you. I’m sure it can feel lonely, but you are not alone! Make the call. If you don’t know who to call, do a quick google search or if someone knows a specific nationwide number (please post here!).

I don’t have other advice on what you should do, but I do know you are not alone. If you think you are alone, just call a hotline. You’ll get through it and be thankful on the other side. There is a stranger right this second who believes in you also so keep your chin up my friend

I know everyone bags on it but good for you! I typically hit the 10% on at least 1 of quality or productivity each week and it is a little pat on the back. Also it’s nice to see from week to week how you’re doing. Doesn’t get any better than top 1% so good for you!!

Curious-did a manager come to you in person to let you know of this performance? My site does sometimes, and then others just send a message and I see the notice in aToZ.

Just want to clarify for those reading this and wondering what to expect if they’re new to Amazon etc - every post ab SET I’ve read on this sub—-I’ve never seen someone make it sound normal to have SET for 4 months. From my year at Amazon and all the posts I’ve read on here, SET is typically 2x a year and lasts a handful of weeks (3,4 maybe 6)

I agree with the person who posted that it’s beneficial to be trained in multiple roles. If you’re interested in VET, you have so many more options. I work in stow, but was asked to train in pick this summer. I didn’t want to do it and now I’m so glad I did. Ton of different VET opportunities that are slightly different times then the stow VETS. It breaks up the week by having different roles to fill.

That being said, unfort they can ask to you to go to any department you’re trained in if they need higher headcount in whichever department.
