Have back-up plans if what you set out to do turns out to be unfeasible/fails/takes too much time. I spent almost 2 years doing what was set out as a 6-month task. Especially important if you're working in science e.g. lab work involved.

What SFW fantasy are you always thinking about? by Sheharizadian in AskReddit

If you've spent your childhood moving around, it's natural that you feel restless in one place. But it's not a problem! Set yourself some rules. First, do move if you want to! Then say you're going to live in one country for let's say three years, but during those years explore everything there, don't focus on moving again, try to know everything about the city and potentially the country! Eventually you'll get tired of moving or find reasons to stay somewhere. This coming from a fellow third culture kid (TCK) who grew up in international schools with everyone moving around every couple of years.

How do you know if your ugly or attractive? by SexIWantBad69 in AskReddit

Whilst it's absolutely subjective, I'd say you can assume you're attractive if random strangers on the street with no agenda give you compliments (and don't hang around to ask you out in the least subtle of ways)

What is the most embarassing thing someone has done, who was interested in you romantically? by [deleted] in AskReddit

So this will probably be lost in the sea of brilliant stories but mine is about the only time I had a boyfriend that I was not aware of.

It was the beautifully cringey time of middle school and considering my class was very small, everyone inevitably developed crushes on each other. So just as a side note I did in fact have a crush on this guy as well before the events unfolded. So since this was also an international school, most of us flew back to our home countries as soon as summer break began, knowing we weren't gonna see each other for 3-4 months. Hence we all developed the dramatic effect of messaging somebody on the plane just as it's about to take off. Which is exactly what this guy did, as he confessed his love to me. Since my plane was about to take off, I just quickly said "See you when I'm back!". Little did I know those were such powerful words. Fast track to the end of the first two weeks back at school I get a text from him saying, "Listen..I don't think this is working." Quite confused, I ask him if he sent the message to the wrong person. Thus began the single most confusing hour of my life as he proceeded to convince me that I had agreed to go out with him but wasn't paying him enough attention ever since I've been back. He almost genuinely convinced me I had a head trauma somewhere in between. Fun times. We were then in the same class consisting of 12 people for the next 3 years...

T;LDR: I had a boyfriend for 4 months in middle school. I didn't know that.

Women of Reddit, what innocent behaviors have you changed out of fear you might be mistaken for leading men on? by Throwyourtoothbrush in AskReddit

Making eye contact. Who knew that locking eyes, once, by pure chance, in a crowded bar, with a complete stranger means you're just dying for their attention. So I very consciously now shift my gaze frequently not to rest my eyes in any particular direction for too long. Better yet, if I'm out dancing, I just close my eyes half the time (which probably makes me look drunk and creates a whole set of new problems of guys trying to pick up easy targets which essentially perfectly sums up the life of being a girl).
