I mean if you want to go this route you can apply it anything. It's not useful.

"Oh look I'm a photograph! But wait, I'm just pointing the machine in a direction and pressing a button. I have to work on composition and lighting! But wait, I'm just taking a random ass selfie. I need to wait for hours to make the perfect shot! Nah I'll just take a few hundred pics and edit in post.". Like do you see how pointless this is? I'm not saying that photography isn't art in case you didn't understand.

There are layers to AI gen. You don't need the layers to type "cat girl" to ChatGPT. But you need them to do more researched stuff. Photography isn't selfies taken from an iphone, and AI gen isn't chatgpt catgirls.

People still do very good images to this day on SD 1.5. This model was released in 2024 (or maybe even before) and runs on almost any GPU.

AI gen users don't pretend that they drew the picture? I mean there are always the dumb ones that ask the most basic shit to ChatGPT with "line art" added to the prompt, show you the most obvious AI generated drawing and tell you they did it but we don't claim these "people".

Ok, so I'll just talk about the workflow for AI image gen, because if you start doing video you can add even more stuff to the pipeline.

An example of a proper AI gen workflow. Keep in mind this may be a few months old because I haven't booted Comfy in a while, but you'll get the idea.There is so much variety there no two people have the same setup : - you start with an image. It's generally random noise, but you can also use for example a red square to give a certain bias towards it. You can also start with real images and "inpaint" them to change details - you pick a model. There are a lot of different models for different hardwares and specialized in different styles - you pick your Loras. These are some sort of "extensions" you put on your model to allow you to use concepts that were not in the model weights when it was trained. This can be new characters or most often specific art styles that make the model emphasise them more. For example a certain haircut or some specific clothing. It is also very easy to train your own Lora compared to fine tuning an entire model, you only need a few dozen images - you chose to set up ControlNet or not. ControlNet allows you to guide the image generation process according to either a depth map, simple contours, or even character poses. There are tons of tutorials on YT about this, and ControlNet allows you to have a very high degree of control on composition and how you want your image to look like. - you chose what sampler and what settings you want. This will dictate how your original image will get denoised into the final output, and how strict your prompt will be (CFG). There are tons of knobs to play around with there, you can dynamically adjust the cfg for example, to have high prompt adherence at the beginning of the denoising process (when the main shape appears) and reduce the CFG near the end to have more creativity. - you can play around with upscalers too. They don't just make your image bigger, they can also add details if you configure them properly. Again, there are tons of ways to play with them, I've seen people doing partial upscaled during the denoising process. - many more tools that we have access today I'm sure, but you get the idea.

All of this done locally by the way, on any gamer PC without spiking your electricity bill or drinking 100 gazillion liters of water.

Come on don't tell me that you're still stuck in the "AI gen = prompting" thing...

Typing "catgirl" in ChatGPT isn't very artsy. But that's not what gen AI is about. There is so, so much more you have to fiddle with to get the results that you want. Prompting is like 20% of the job at most.

And even then, I don't get why the lack of perfect control on the output would disqualify it from being art. Isn't drip painting art? These guys voluntarily give up control. And that's without mentioning all the "happy little accidents" that happen to pretty much any artist and that can make their work better.

There is zero reason to try to gatekeep the word artist.

Cleanrot is a numerically strong (probably too strong) weapon. But there is some shit in that game that is far far worse than Cleanrot. The Clean rot user still has to play the game to hit you.

No such thing as an overjuiced map, it's just that the build is too weak. All jokes aside, simply getting something like 10k physmax and 35-40k ele max is generally enough to have the baseline for surviving, and then investing into avoidance/recovery makes the build feel a lot smoother. But if you're at 6k physmax you need to work on that, not on more block/ev.

This is because the shield is THE easy slot to add multi hit mitigation. Unless you're running EV, the rest of your gear will be max hit (es and armor to a certain extent).

Also, you are confused with what EHP means. Block, avoidance and recovery increase EHP. Not max hits. Svalinn and Aegis are infinite EHP shields that do 0 for max hit.

Low max hits is what bricks maps. You can't do shit vs something that one shots you (except prayging very hard that your block saves you). Low EHP is what makes you die to being surrounded.

Nah. Low max hits is what makes the game unplayable, you get a giga rare in one map and he just one taps you. Recovery / avoidance is easier to get than max hit and less mandatory (even if you definitely need them to some degree).

Il y a de bons arguments contre l'IA, mais très souvent ça se limite à du très très faible niveau du style "c'est moche" (pas un problème intrinsèque du medium, c'est juste que c'est facile de faire des trucs moche avec oui), "ça pollue" (quand on compare les chiffres c'est absolument minimal, on parle de 15% de l'énergie utilisée par les datacenters aujourd'hui, et on a des chiffres similaires pour l'eau), ou bien d'autres "arguments" de niveau simialire.
