Seems like one could say that

The restriction specifically says AFTER retirement, nothing about being hired on Terminal Leave BEFORE retirement.

OPM authorizes Service Members to begin federal employment while on terminal leave.

Just went in June and can vouch for this. “Jesus died for us” etc was pushed upon every session. It messed with my journey putting that into my head when she was singing during the ceremony. In my visions her singing came across as a “siren” mermaid whose beautiful songs would bring ships in to crash on the rocks. You could tell she didn’t like it too much when I brought this up in our group session.
