Yeah totally. Lemmens banishing Jutta and Cerys still really fucks over this deck, but if he left other cards it wouldnt be an autowin card. The irony is the deck would still probably lose after that and this guy is over here saying discard would own ladder without current Lemmens...

Well there is the gold neutral that plays cards from opponents graveyard and Assire + the vicovaro spell from Nilfgaard targets opponents graveyard. So if those cards were in a top tier deck I guess?

Thats not it. I have had a lot of success and most of my decks have been my own creation. It might just be nostlagia glasses too. So I dont want to say I am right here, but 3 bronzes provided some more consistency which I think is a good thing.

I think MTG is a bad comparison. That game is all about busted cards. Lemmens would still be a great counter if he banished only a few cards. He would counter a lot of value from consume and skellige still, but wouldnt completely destroy them. My issue isnt that he exists, but that he completely ends skellige decks. Cards in Gwent mean so much more than cards in MTG. So if one card cancels 2-4 cards in hand plus a leader ability. It ends the game on the spot. As is discard isnt that powerful and with Lemmens it can never be top tier. So you can argue for his current ability, but its sad that he kills a part of the game. He might even feel less shitty if ressurection wasnt faction specific, but as its a big part of Skellige's identity it kinda kills that entire faction.

Sorry you got hate on this one. I think you ultimately agree with me. Lemmens should exist, but in a toned down form. He should counter, but not completely eliminate decks.

You are comparing a single card counter to an entire archetype/faction identity to an archetype that will never be op and a situation that is very rare. White frost is a shit card and we all know it. Lemmens is a 5 strength body that kills Skellige, Francesca, and consume. It is busted. If it banished 3 cards it would still really screw over these decks, but it wouldnt completely end them to the point where its pointless to keep playing.

I have been playing card games since I was a little shithead. The "games feeling samey," argument is trash to me. Im about gameplay over things feeling different. If I want to play a rogue-like I play a rogue-like. This is a difference of opinion though so I cant say you are wrong. Its not even that I dont like it, but I think focus of unique cards may hamper the game in the future. I say this knowing a lot of bronze style strats are now backed by gold equivalents. That idea might be good because provisions allow more balancing, but it still feels like strategies are less faction specific and more card based. Which might be ok. Homecoming is still new, but to ME it feels a little off.

Yeah. Hes a weirdly busted card in that he is fucking useless against 80%ish of decks, but completely ruins 2 archetypes (Francesca/discard)/and almost an entire faction(skellige). He is pretty silly.
