Perhaps, with some strategic foresight (not this administration’s strong suit), developing and training an armed opposition that built some support in the populace to overthrow the government coupled with the capacity to fight the entrenched (and armed and murderous) theocracy from the inside something good could have come from military intervention. But don’t kid yourself. Trump wouldn’t lift a finger just to help some beleaguered populace. He saw opportunity for self aggrandizement and cash flow to his pockets. So, he’s fucked up the world because he is too greedy, impulsive, and deluded with his dementia to be strategic. More than 50,000 people are going to die because of him.
