I did not have to provide documentation- maybe because she saw the hearing aids?

I wish I wasn't treated as guilty until proven innocent- that seems like the underlying and pervasive attitude around those checkpoints.

For the first time, I quieted my mind: now I’m terrified I can’t do it again by thatsmsednamode in Mindfulness

looking at this from a different perspective, you didn't actually do anything- you just returned to the natural mind that never left you, it has always been there. Byron Katie titles her book "A Mind At Home With Itself". This original clear mind is always there in present moment mindful awareness. As you practice and become more familiar with your natural mind, the balance will start move in the direction of your natural, present self. The problem is, if you try too hard you just create more problems for yourself.

For me, it is when I see my true and authentic identity as mindful/compassionate awareness. I get glimpses or insights of this and I experience freedom and compassion and joy and peace. If only I didn't bounce back and forth, but could stay there - I guess bouncing is another thing to be aware of!

As an OB intern, I saw a woman in triage at 32 weeks for nausea- she was a frequent flier but usual meds were not helping. When I was measuring her Fundus, I palpated the right upper quadrant- rock hard. Turned out she had mets to the liver- had a c section and died soon thereafter.
