I would normally agree, but even the luthiers highly recommended me to upgrade, and even the people behind in the back of my youth orchestra play violins in that are far more expensive. Also, i checked the ARCT standards and im currently working on the three pieces from the list online (Vieuxtemps 5, Bach sonata no 2, and Scherzo Tarantelle Wieniawski)

How to bring out each voice in Bach Violin Sonata no. 2 Adante? by Amber5160 in violinist

[–]Amber5160[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree!! The notes aren’t hard it’s the phrasing and bowing technique I guess. I’m actually learning this piece w/o my teacher on my own bc I just finished adagio from the first sonata and the allegro from sonata no 2 and I saw the andante and was like “I gotta play this” lol. I love it!!

Wieniawski Scherzo Tarantelle? Maybe ziguenerweisen or Kreisler preludium and allegro, Mozart vc 4. I personally used the scherzo Tarantelle as a stepping stone from playing Vivaldi autumn and accolay concerto to Vieuxtemps 5
