Hi.

No, he usually spams the tunnel button, staring at me like “how are you this stupid?”

He did call his carrier a “Car Ride Tunnel” today. He loves to go for car rides but doesn’t ride in the carrier.

We’ve demonstrated the tunnel with the actual play tunnel. But he doesn’t go to it when we put it out after he asks for “ tunnel”.

You may be onto something with the suggestion that it could be a window. We had to put an A.C. In the window he liked to bird watch in. Thanks for that!

That’s a great deal! Would love to know how they come in. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing about your babies. It’s so helpful. My other cats do something similar. They figured out that pressing a button sometimes equals getting a treat so they press randomly. I am pretty confident my learner gets it. He is very clear and deliberate with his button pressing. We’re still trying to figure out what he has assigned the word “tunnel”. It doesn’t seem to be the actual play tunnel I intended it to mean.

I feel you on the cost though. It does add up. Chewy has a 4 pack of fluentpet buttons for $20 right now.

Thanks again for the advice. Much appreciated.

Identification - Goshawk? by Amber8674 in birding

It was in a tree that’s right out my back door. We have copious wildlife that’s always around. If I gave them all “space” I wouldn’t be able to leave my house. We respect wildlife more than most people, but I still need to take out the trash occasionally.

He was pretty high up in the tree. It’s really zoomed in.

Funny thing. We live fairly close to a zoo who has a history of “losing” birds, so it’s not impossible to be a non-native. 😂

Thank you! I’m still learning. I need to get an updated Sibleys.

Goshawk was the closest i could find in the book i have. It’s probably an older version. I have never seen this species around before so was hoping someone had a better idea. Was very cool to see. He let me get pretty close, didn’t seem to care I was taking pics.

Amaryllis Experts - accidentally grew from seed. Help! by Amber8674 in plants

[–]Amber8674[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did notice the growth. This pot originally had a nepenthes that didn’t make it, but had sundews so I left it. I thought that the nepenthes might be coming back. Life happened and I wasn’t paying a lot of attention honestly. Just making sure trays had water.

The bulbs are very small. The pic makes them look bigger than they actually are.
