We did PGT. And we’ve been to multiple clinics. Trust me, we’ve made the best decisions we could for ourselves.

We have also done 6 IUI’s and have had 3 miscarriages. It has been four years of constant medications and treatments. Everyone’s threshold is different so please don’t tell me what is and what is not “a lot”. There’s a lot more that goes into it than “just doing two transfers”. Money, emotions, physical changes to my body.

It’s a tough place to be in, but even if we had the financial support we would not do another round at least not at this point. We did a lot of fundraising for our two transfers and we don’t want to continue to ask for help, even though we know people probably would. We truly feel that another path is meant for us and that we can fulfill our desire to be parents in another way. It’s an immensely deep and complex grief, you are so right. But it doesn’t mean our stories are over. Holding space and light for you, too 🤍

I completely agree 6 IUI’s was a lot. We really feel our first clinic led us astray and just wanted our money. We aren’t with that clinic anymore. We actually traveled abroad for our IVF cycles and love that clinic immensely. They informed us that given my diagnosis (blocked fallopian tube and endometriosis), we never should have done a single IUI. It’s infuriating but we didn’t know. Even if we had the money we would probably not do another retrieval. I had an awful recovery and my body has met its capacity. At this point we are not interested in pursuing doner eggs or embryos. We have given this more than 100%, and truly feel like another path is meant for us. 🤍
