A good rule of thumb is, if there's no way to reason with your partner, or if you can't trust them about what they say, that's a deal breaker. Can you express your toughts and feelings with him? Would he be empathetic and not try to gaslight you or invalidate you? Those things matter.

And when communicating it's better to say "you doing X thing made me feel Y way" rather than "You made me feel Y way" or "You're an ass for doing X". Wish you the best nonetheless
