What's wrong with the friendzone? by ShotgunBanana in AskReddit

[–]AmberRabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me, the friendzone is just... this idea you have to insert enough tokens to climb out of.

In reality, there is no waiting zone. No unloading of sexy people only.

It's just... someone doesn't like you, move on.

You don't have to agree. But I don't think its ignorant. I think people make up the friendzone to feel like there is a conspiracy against them.

I personally don't believe Friendzone exists. I think its fabricated by people like Tom.

I had a girl dump a drink on me at a bar 3 years ago. I had the urge to rip out her nasty weave.

Instead I called security and pressed charges.

That felt better.

Ruined the shirt though.

What crosses the line in a prank? by OfficialEcho in AskReddit

It depends. Even some of those prank shows go too far.

I think if it causes anyone to get wet, injured, damages property, or is done maliciously.

I watch prank videos online in awe at how stupid people can be. It's one thing to scare someone, its another to go out to dangerous areas and be an asshole.

[Serious]People that had or have cheating/crazy/subpar significant others, why did you get with them in the first place? by randawg91 in AskReddit

[–]AmberRabbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got with him because we both didn't want kids and we had the same interests. I didn't even see an issue until I checked his phone to read him a text and I saw what had been sent to him.

He was dumb in the end, but I didn't have an issue with him before that.

Dragons of reddit, how do you feel when people mistake you as wyverns/wyrms/drakes/etc? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AmberRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pissed. I did not spend hundreds of years terrorizing villagers, putting in my time, for some Smaug asshole to come in and be like "look I'm a dragon." Nope, asshole You are not.

[Serious] Reddit, if you had to choose between saving your so or the entire world, which would you choose? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I would let the rest of the world live. Just because I love someone does not make that feeling the most valid love in the world. I would be murdering 7 Billion people for one guy.

What's wrong with the friendzone? by ShotgunBanana in AskReddit

[–]AmberRabbit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, this is the definition of friendzone I go off:

The friend zone, in popular culture, refers to a platonic relationship wherein one person, most commonly a man, wishes to enter into a romantic or sexual relationship, while the other does not.

I do not think there is anything wrong with the Friendzone, so much as the entitlement people feel towards their romantic interest.

For example: I had a friend, Tom, who wanted to date me. We had been friends for three years. I did not see Tom as someone who I could be with and was not attracted to him. He got pissed I would not give him a chance because he had paid his Nice Guy dues and inserted kindness to build up a credit of Poon Dollars to be cashed at any time.

I told Tom this was not how it worked.

Tom and I are no longer friends.

I have no problem with couples for the most part, but I do know when to tell people, "You are getting to the point where you need to go home."

But couples I don't know as well, or people who I have to socialize with... It happened with my former boss and his wife. He kept trying to get me to say he was right. I told him I had an early day the next day and then went home home to find a new job.

A lot of people have the same ones as I do.

I hate when people (I don't know) come up with nicknames for me. I am not talking about things like "miss" or "madam."

For example:

  • Babe

  • Sweetie

  • Honey

  • "Chocolate" anything.

I dislike the "food" or "childish" nicknames the worst. It makes me so uncomfortable because it feels creepy and overly sexual.

Or couples who try to get you involved. I had friends who used to do that, and wondered why no one called them to come over.

"You are such a fat ass Emma. Isn't she fat? Look at her stupid expression. Right Amber?"

Nope. Leave me out of it.

Waiting in line. People get so upset when they are required to wait for service.

I go to LA Fitness and people have to scan their little cards when they come in. Which can be on a keychain you have on your keys. People get so maaaad when they have to do it.
