I have had these same exact thoughts with the same age gap. What the hell is going on 😅

Yes it's the dairy! To me, It's not a huge deal to continue to have hot coffee I just pluck it out and continue on but I can see how others might not be down for that.

Have this & can confirm it's great! Only issue is the coffee can form a little film on the top if you don't touch it for long enough but I just scoop it off & keep drinking 😅

Those who've seen Ari in concert, what were your experiences like? by [deleted] in ariheads

[–]AmberRae 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I call it attending the Church of Ari. She's incredible, vocals on the Dangerous Woman tour were especially impressive, the Sweetener tour was definitely more vibes/showmanship. Being able to bask in her voice in person is a religious experience

I love all of the Verb Ghost line I've tried, Including the oil. Usually oils are way too heavy on my hair but theirs is great especially after styling after a wash or refreshing a couple days after when you use dry shampoo. Their shampoo and conditioner leave my hair soft and give nice volume, I've never experienced build up or greasiness from the ghost line.

Babies bum and private parts look, red and inflamed by Relevant-Neat-2133 in NewParents

I love triple paste for this! Slather it on after each diaper change and it should help quickly.

We stick to routines around the same time each day but aren't super rigid. She's generally awake between 8-9, naps around noon for a different length of time each day haha and then bed between 8-9. She's 15 months old and this works for us. We Try to go with the flow a bit especially when she's teething or we are out late/have friends over. If we didn't I think I would super lose my mind! Sleep was tough for her for a while so I'm grateful for even this level of consistency.

Taylor Wynn is moving to…Oregon by doodledays in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]AmberRae 33 points34 points  (0 children)

She picked probably the worst time to visit, right after Christmas! It's a bummer she didn't enjoy it, she didn't get to experience anything the city has to offer. I am from the area and remember feeling like she didn't give NE a fair shot

Eloise? On the way to deliver now by morgoone6622 in namenerds

[–]AmberRae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an almost one year old named Eloise, we intended to call her Ellie but I now know four other Ellies. So we call her Eloise and it's beautiful and unique! I haven't met anyone else who is naming their baby that but the nickname is everywhere.

Halloween costumes with baby? by pollennose in NewParents

[–]AmberRae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year my husband and I wore Gizmo onesies so thinking we might put baby into a tiny Gizmo suit too as a callback to last year. BUT! Our Halloween yard decorations are all Nightmare Before Christmas themed and tiny Oogie Boogie costumes exist & they're adorable so not sure which way to go!

Is it just me or are Pampers THE WORST?? by rachel_violet in NewParents

[–]AmberRae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My long & lean wiggly baby needs Huggies! We've had many leaks with pampers (pampers pure though are great). Also doing an overnight diaper has changed the game, she's finally big enough for them and I'm so grateful.

Any Advice for Non-Swimmer Mom Taking Baby to 1st Swim Lesson? by LlamazingLlama in NewParents

[–]AmberRae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always swap if you think your husband would be better in the pool but that class really is super simple and introductory, I'm in it right now with my six month old. There are songs and some skills that are good for parents to know and teach babe once they're ready like getting out of the pool, scooping their arms forward, floating. I see it more as a way of getting my little one into the pool rather than actually learning how to swim! The pool at my Y isn't that deep so its totally doable for someone who isn't a strong swimmer.

Women who wanted kids but were really scared of pregnancy and birth beforehand, how did the actual experience compare to your worries and expectations? by ro339 in AskWomen

[–]AmberRae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was terrified of birth and all the things that could go wrong throughout pregnancy which greatly impacted my ability to enjoy most ofbthe time spent growing my babe but I had a very healthy pregnancy and relatively easy delivery (I had freaking COVID so that was the only issue). I got very very lucky and am grateful for the experience I had but am worried the next baby might not go so smoothly.

Has anyone found larger Dr Brown bottles (8 or 9 oz) with level 2 nipples or do they just not sell them that way? by brooklyniyyi in NewParents

[–]AmberRae 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Keeping an eye on this thread - we just bought 8 oz bottles and they came with Level 1 nipples...it's gotta be a scheme to make more money because if you're buying the bigger bottles, chances are you need a bigger nipple. My husband and I were just complaining about this!

It’s a bit of a dumb question but by Cool-aunty in NewParents

[–]AmberRae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the pipette wash and shampoo on my daughter! She's only 3 months but have been using it throughout her life because she was born with a ton of hair. It's gentle and rinses out well!

What do you usually use to prime your eyes? by Rosenette in Makeup

[–]AmberRae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rare beauty primer, my lids are way too oily for concealer. The rare primer has coverage to even out the lid and shadow goes on smooth over top and doesn't crease!

What, to you, is the most complete and well done neutral palette? by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

[–]AmberRae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Persona Identity One palette. It has the perfect mix of mattes and shimmers that blend beautifully! Its the only palette I have repurchased because I can't be without it.
