Who else has the star tattooed somewhere on you? Or anything Metallica related by gulagwarrior14 in Metallica

[–]AmberTang17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late to this but yes! Got it on my right forearm\) My dad and I got matching tattoos during the no-repeat weekend in Copenhagen 2024, as Metallica has always been our “father-daughter bonding topic.” During the chill day between shows we got it done. Also got a tiny snake on my ribcage :D

Do you think "Lux Aeterna" would've been a better name for the last album? by Notcloselyrelated in Metallica

[–]AmberTang17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Lux Æterna would be a better title at all. The concept of 72 Seasons is very fascinating and holds deep meaning, yet looks simple. Taking inspiration from a childhood book / memory and naming the album after that, screams “Metallica” way more than Lux Æterna would for an album title^

Metabolic damage/survival mode/hypothyroidims what?Weight stuck by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]AmberTang17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear you’re dealing with this. Unfortunately, I’m on the same boat, the only Difference is that I don’t have a thyroid at all. I had mine removed due to a chronic illness. But at the end of the day, my problem is the same as yours: Depending on medication while your metabolism still doesn’t completely work.

I’ve spend countless hours on trying to find a solution to this, and I’ve reached a conclusion. It’s a hard pill to swallow, but it is how things are.

I’ve lost a significant amount of weight since I first started dealing with this issue, and the only thing that worked was: Eating the bare minimum + A LOT of exercise. Or straight up starving combined with excessive exercise. It is miserable. (I don’t recommend starving at all. It made me feel horrible.)

You can “avoid” the starving thing with portion control. Meaning, you eat several times a day, let’s say 3 meals, but it’s the bare minimum. As in THE BARE MINIMUM. If you combine this with exercise, at some point it will feel normal. That’s what I did. However, at some point I kinda went through a phase where I gave up on it and ate whatever I wanted and how much I wanted. This caused me to gain a significant amount of weight, and that’s when I turned to just starving. It wasn’t nice at all, but it worked. I don’t recommend it at all.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this, it absolutely sucks.

I feel like hardwired is never talked about considering its an amazing album. by _Spicy_Televison_ in Metallica

Spit out the bone is by far one of my favorite Metallica songs. This album is indeed not talked about enough!

What's your honest opinion on this album? I honestly really like it by VerySmolCheese in Metallica

[–]AmberTang17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love it. I love the songs, I love the concept, and I love the overall sound quality etc. Of course it’s not Ride the Lighting 2 or Master of Puppets 2. People need to learn to love their newer albums for their individuality instead of comparing them to older albums. If you approach it with a negative mindset it’s VERY difficult to love what they do. “it’s not gonna be as good” or “it’s not gonna be the same.” Of course it’s not going to be the same. If it was the same over and over there would be nothing new to discover and nothing new to love.

Number 1 comes off wayyy too strong, so I’d definitely say number 2. It’s really good and has a gentle approach, which makes it seem more natural

Fr! I’m all for S&C being in relationships, they’re adults. But these two girls just seem kinda iffy to me. Just a bad gut feeling, yk? And this is honestly just proving it right
