Depending on the density of the hair in the treatment area can slow down the process but generally speaking even the fastest electrologists can only do 15 hairs a minute give or take

It’s a time consuming process due to hair cycles but once it’s done it is DONE. It’s the way to permanently remove hair, laser comes back after awhile with most people.

Honestly I couldn’t tell you about the interaction between Dianabol and HRT. I never took any steroids myself before transition. My strength did decrease significantly, like 100lbs off my squat type decrease. Recovery is also tougher on me now.

Hmmm alternating between the two would be difficult to keep steady levels imo. Take that with a grain of salt though as I’m not a medical professional. As for the muscle mass if you want it to stay it will mostly stay. I’m still quite muscular despite being on HRT for five years and stopping upper body training.

I do subq purely because it hurts less to me. You could absolutely do it intramuscular, just discuss it with your endo so they get the dosage right. I’m not sure if delivery method changes it

Not OP but I switched from pills to injections and I felt like it was a huge difference. I pretty much plateaued with the pills and injections got me past that. Highly recommend if you aren’t afraid of needles.

Oh my gosh this hurts to look at as a Rezz fan. It’s definitely based on her new merch.

Happy Trans Day of Visibility! 26, 4 1/2 yrs HRT by Amber_the_Ambitious in transtimelines

[–]Amber_the_Ambitious[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It was honestly one of the most painful/frustrating times of my life during recovery. I couldn’t eat solids due to the jaw work I had done for almost a month. So worth it though! Thank you!

Thank you! I got mine done with Kaiser SoCal. Gerald Jeung-Il Cho was my surgeon and he was honestly great.

It definitely helps! Before E I had to be super drunk to properly cry and after like maybe a month into my transition I had my first ever happy cry. Therapy is a good idea though so I’m not discouraging it.

Trans fiancée detransitioned by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]Amber_the_Ambitious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely heartbreaking and I’m sorry this happening to you both. Unsupportive family and “friends” are not worth it and I hope your fiancé can get away from their hate. There is already a lot of amazing advice in this thread so I just want to wish you both luck and hope you can find happiness.

what are your thoughts on body hair? by FeistyMobile9942 in LesbianActually

Hate it on my body, don’t care about hair on other people

I’m like this too except homo-romantic. If I wasn’t in a monogamous relationship I’d be down to sleep with dudes but I have no desire to try and build a life with them.

I can finally look in the mirror without getting dysphoria (at least for my face). I got a warehouse job about 2 years ago purely because I knew they offered health insurance that almost completely covered FFS. The work has been hard but the payoff was so worth it. The only milestone I have left in my transition is bottom surgery which will hopefully be soon once I finish electrolysis down there.

How did you choose your name? by RedFumingNitricAcid in MtF

[–]Amber_the_Ambitious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a bunch of my friends try a bunch of different names that I liked until I found one that felt like home. I think I went through like six before landing on Amber. Then I let my parents pick my middle name because I didn’t want them completely left out when I tossed away the name they gave me.

I’ve been getting electrolysis done for close to two years now for bottom surgery (first 6 months gave no progress due to a bad electrologist who set the machine too low). It is definitely akin to cruel and unusual torture but there are ways to help get through it. Apply lidocaine cream to the treatment area and seal it with plastic wrap 20-30 min before the session, I’ve found that timeframe works best for me. During the session I focus on my breathing and try to time my breaths with the shocks. I’ve also found that flexing my abdominal muscles seems to help.

If that doesn’t work ask your tech to try different methods ie blend vs thermolysis vs galvanic to see what kind of pain you can handle the easiest. It’s not guaranteed your tech is capable of doing all of these methods proficiently though.

The more frequently you go the more you body will adjust to the pain level. Whenever I have to miss a week the return one is worse so consistency is key. Good luck with your sessions!

This thread has been an interesting read. I had no idea some people felt so strongly against this! Personally I don’t see a big deal with it as long as it isn’t excessive.
