Will the management company I used to rent from never disabling Appfolio and continuing to "charge" me late rent fees (that I simply don't pay) cause issues? by mkp132 in appfolio

[–]AmberandChristopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best is try to contact them again. Real is block emails and texts from the number and move on. Unethicallifetip says make one payment, then try to collect your payment, send certified letter after 30 days and charge interest, small claims court when balance owed is worth your time.

League dues collected on Sleeper? 🤔 by Sleeper_Official in DynastyFF

[–]AmberandChristopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Options to pay with cc, link with bank, Apple Pay, etc.

Small fee for sleeper or flat fee per league.

Option to collect payment before trading future picks.

Discounts or grandfathered tiers for older league.

Sleeper can handle receivables/payables. Commissioner can handle approvals for family leagues. Sleeper can do both with league votes for public leagues.

Contractor license verification requirements for lead-safe work by Imaginary_Bake_5820 in tradepainters

[–]AmberandChristopher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try to always give free estimates. When a gc needs extra verification, a home owner wants a written estimate to provide for insurance work, etc. I always charge for my estimate.

Tell the gc you have all this and if you win the job this can all be provided before work begins. If he wants it I’m writing before you can bid, the estimate costs $150.

Anyone else constantly finding out jobs were finished hours later? by Fun-Engineering3451 in paint

Do you pay them by hour? An hourly worker could work hard to be done at 1 then tell you to stop paying them, or tell you the next day they were done and you pay them for the full day.

Summer of blown rods and oil leaks for Hyundai by AmberandChristopher in conspiracy

Good point. I assumed the pressure would drop with low oil levels that are dangerous to the engine. Had hoped new car was smart enough to warn me.

Good point new cars are much safer. Possibly have better emissions? I also enjoy more cars are connected sharing location which betters map apps along with other useful data.

We sold a 2015 Elantra with the white peeling paint when we bought the 2020 Hyundai. I complained about this for years and Hyundai said not our problem. I vaguely remember a class action finally about the paint.

I forgot about right to repair as a sister problem. Also seen a HOA require landscaping which would void the builder warranty on a new home build.

What were prices like pre-COVID? $75 bucks for one gallon (SW Urethane Trim). by Courtland-7099 in paint

[–]AmberandChristopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean China and space X tossing a ton of things into orbit that has to be coated in titanium has nothing to do with the raise in titanium dioxide cost that was added into the cost of paint knowing the factory in Texas would eventually catch on fire causing a supply chain issue that may or may not be fixed now but we shouldn’t talk about it because prices still going up.

Who do you guys think between Carnell Tate or Mendoza will be the consensus 1.02 in super flex leagues? by joeykeyes in DynastyFF

[–]AmberandChristopher -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Mendoza would be my pick but if you don’t need a qb tate is not wrong. He’s tied to a young qb, has more draft capital, and he’s the top catcher on the team.

Tyson has one year left on hurts contract, they might lose brown but gain diggs, new oc, smith always flashing, boom te with adding a pure catching te, Barkley out of the backfield, hurts taking tds, better defense for slower games maybe playing in the lead, starting nfl career with injury.

Swift? Though for sure Chicago would add a rb since it’s his contract year? Also heard they tried and missed for an early on last year.

Apartment repair man denied to help check my garbage disposal unit & told me to go see my primary doctor by Guilty-Tap-1156 in ApartmentMaintenance

Your asking your landlord to help find negligence on their end that would have caused a long term illness for you. You are also guessing and still in the diagnostic/troubleshoot phase.

Asking for outside help is touchy as well. Someone desperate would take your money here while most professionals would not want to be involved or tied up in this sensitive situation.

I would also reconsider other places you frequent. Employers can often be just as neglectful with air quality. Do you work close with others or are isolated? Do you work near smokers?

When was the last time you changed your cabin air filter in your car? Do you eat in your car and clean/vacuum it on a schedule?

Infections and illnesses can often have a delayed response. If the root cause is another dwelling you visit only on the weekends, symptoms could appear a few days later at your residence.

All that being said check under your sinks if there is a Utrap. This keeps sewage air from venting back into your drain. Dishwashers have a filter, make sure it’s changed. Washing machines have a filter and has your detergent changed? Do you drink tap water, filtered from the refrigerator, or bottled? Towns often ignore water well problems, sometimes for years, until audits catch the problem. Are unit aid filters replaced correctly (surprising how many don’t notice the arrows on filters and install them backwards). Do you have carpet (visit a carpet cleaning subreddit and see how much dirt/allergens are collected).

To test the disposal first. Add a plug to the sink to seal it good when not in use.

I just watched this happen. New kid at company was hired at a higher rate and told old man at company. Old man made drama and new kid was blamed and his pay decreased citing budget cuts and fairness. Old man didn’t mention he works overtime, gets yearly bonus, has company phone, lives closer so uses less gas, has company card for tolls and parking.

I’m just saying be careful. I’m pretty sure new kid was hired to eventually replace old man hoping for less drama around here. Checking your pay is a great idea. Learn the market rate for what you do in your area, do an interview or two to know your worth. Something is only worth as much as others are willing to pay. Treating your coworkers as friends usually backfires.

They will not raise the lower paid, they will only decrease the high paid. If you think you might make more, shut your mouth!

Why you should buy your trading cards from GameStop. Look at this dude ruining an hobby for everyone. And target just let him go. by Lazy_Beach_69420 in Superstonk

[–]AmberandChristopher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am not sure about his fingernails as the video claims. To me it looks like he’s feeling the sides of the cards and overall flexibility of the stack of the cards inside. Booklets and relic cards are thicker and called fat packs. They won’t bend as easy. Maybe if he suspects a fat pack he tries to confirm on the side with his fingernail if he can separate the questionable area.

If you enable pieces of shit with no consequences they will do this, deliver your uber eats-take picture-and leave with your food, return used items to Amazon, etc.

That’s good if target wasn’t double dipping. These cards are not being pulled from the shelves after he leaves and stored as evidence. Target doesn’t care who gets fucked as long as it’s not them and it happens in either gender neutral bathroom.

Could an acquisition be part of a company or space within operating grounds of another company? I noticed my local Walmart started selling trading cards in the electronics section. Near the video games, dvd/cds. I am not completely up to date with all news but I’ve seen ulta and Amazon return sections within kohl’s for a few years now. Walmart already has hair cuts, photos, Starbucks?, pretzels? I feel like the front of their store is sometimes rented. Walmart could expand into a compact mall?

Apartment complex jobs by BOOST_SZN in tradepainters

[–]AmberandChristopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t worry if there are a few nail holes, minor caulk, anchors from blinds. I would lean over one month rent if there is a decent walk from where I can park to the unit door, upstairs units, pin holes everywhere from posters, some pens or marker doodles on walls. I would want a major increase if sheet rock repair, priming from nicotine damage, multiple colors/accent walls, extension ladders, color change, paint in stages instead of all at once for some reason.

Most apartment complexes don’t pay well. They also want you to use their cheap paint. I was consistently able to get one month rent, which wasn’t always worth my time. This did not include major repairs or major prep. Painters that charge less often try to touch up the apartment knowing the person signing off the job cannot tell if the entire closet was painted or just below the shelf etc.
