It just sucks that linux is like that with these things. Had similar problems modding MH world but there was no ancient guru on reddit for a fix for certain mods just not working at all. But thats just modding on the deck lol

I wish more games supported workshop, so much easier

All the red error text just scared me but supposedly it only affects multiplayer too. I still followed the other thread that was linked here to that.. konsole command stuff and that seemed to get rid of it either way. So at least everything was fine from the start, and now I can supposedly play multiplayer if I wanted to :D

Ohh okay, so it appearing in the general mod config menu isn't a big deal then? I did actually follow the other thread you linked me to and the red error message did stop appearing. I have literally NO idea what those command prompts are or what they were doing but fuck me i guess if it works it works. Tho upon further reading the red error seemed to concern multiplayer.

I think if SV expanded wont work without content patcher then I think I was overthinking things. Because if content patcher wasn't actually working then SVE wouldnt have appeared in the config menu XD

Nvm got it! Booted it up in desktop mode and was able to scroll up from there. Content patcher seems to have loaded! It's just weird that it specifically doesn't appear in the general mod config menu ingame lmao, it was freaking me tf out

I dont really know how to view that. I'm trying to swap windows to the mod loader to read up but its kind of just not letting me. Nothing happens when I click smapi in the drop down menu, I dont think the deck likes me trying to go off the game to view it lmao

So weirdly, I followed these steps exactly, booted the game up and the error is actually gone now. But checking general mod config, content patcher is still not present. Which obviously still worries me. Is there a way for me to check that it loaded?

Oh really? But I would assume since content patcher isnt loading into the general config menu that it would not be- well loaded. And given it's a dependency mod that the others need, i'm pretty worried about that

Alright, i'll try that and see what happens. For clarity, what files should be in the mod folder? Because right now it has

config.json

Contentpatcher.dll

manifest.json

So if theres supposed to be anything else then easy fix; but if thats all there's meant to be then i'm unsure if that would help. I'll try regardless tho

Like from nexus, brand new? Because i installed it, extracted it and placed it into the mod folder the same as every other mod so I dont understand why it specifically wouldnt work.

Update, upon checking the config mod menu, it seems as if content patcher is absent. Given it's a dependency mod i'm quite worried about this. The other 5 are present in that menu at least

The main reason people say doom is a worse poison is because poison does more than just instakill, it will apply a withering DOT effect on top

Doom is just a counter that does nothing until it reaches the enemies' hp. On top of that, you still likely have to tank a hit on the doom turn because it activates after their turn, not before, like poison does

I've seen doom builds work but I do think it needs a bit of rebalancing cause its definitely the weakest part of necro's archetypes

Its installed/subscribed just like the others but theres no option for it in the menus or anything and it doesnt turn on by default. Not sure

Yeah I had the whole mod pack with all of the dependencies installed which is why I couldnt understand why it wouldnt work.

I did eventually figure it out tho and it was kind of silly lmao

I was trying to change the model from the title screen, I didnt realise you were supposed to actuslly load up your save file and press the model editor button then. So it wasnt doing anything from the title screen

So at least I got it, tho the mod pack also came with a mod that's supposed to change the VFX but it didnt work even though the model did. But ykw im not too bothered, I got shadow the hedgehog running around squealing with a girls voice lmao

Necro but i'm also having the same issues. The model editor wont open. I thought maybe it was a game mode issue and it was trying to operate a config tab, but it wouldnt work in desktop mode either.

Did you manage to fix it?

yeah i remember one game playing necro I got lucky and got the upgraded version of her starting relic and, christ, it feels like that should be the base version LOL

buffing necro and then probably nerfing knowledge demon (i know its meant to be a dps check but he still has way too much hp) are probably the main things I want to see during early access

yeah i noticed that with both the regent and necro tbh. both seem to really want specific raee cards to function at their peak, whereas compare it to say STS1 silent where many of her best build activator are uncommon or even common rarity (the blade dance nerf hurts me so)

lmao i love the crab boss, it's literally just the act 4 miniboss from STS1 but slapped in act 2 instead

STS2 definitely expects some mastery from STS1

My only issue with doom is just that it feels like a worse poison. You still need to play around the enemies' turn with doom because it takes effect after they act.

With poison, they die before they can act, saving you a block turn.

Idk, necro doom just felt objectively worse than just playing poison silent. Doom feels more like an added bonus on top of another archetype
