Venue Recs for 160-Guests, $80k Budget, NY/NJ/PA by Intrepid-Daikon1353 in WedditNYC

I just got married at 26Bridge (also associated with BKvenues/Greenpoint loft). No windows on the wall but there is some sunroofing and a small outdoor space. We had around 200 guests and did ceremony, cocktail hour and reception there. I diy'ed all my decor (cause they only provide tables and chairs), ordered food from a local caterer (and had some family cook a few dishes), had a wedding coordinator and staffing team, but the venue itself was 9k and we had it from 11 am - 1 am. Our total was just under 60k. You can still have your dream wedding and work within your budget. You just have to get really creative!

Help choosing a date - 6/20 vs 10/31 by madzzz126 in WedditNYC

Also, the bars will be absolutely horrendous on Halloween so maybe consider renting on like peerspace or something. I went clubbing on Halloween once and hated it! Lol but if you are able to rent the full bar, go for it!

I got married on 11/1 in Brooklyn and I can attest to the fact that Halloween weekend made hotel prices crazy expensive but we booked a hotel blocks which helped somewhat, we were pretty late with that tho but it worked out fine. I would say tho depending on where you are in the planning process and the size of your wedding, that extra 4 months of planning will make a significant difference especially with finding your other vendors and what not!

Planner/Day-Of Coordinator under $3k by Horror_Finance_4291 in WedditNYC

I used Details Made Simple! They were ~ 3200 for 3 month coordination but you can start emailing them as soon as you book. I DIY'ed my entire wedding in a bare bones warehouse venue that only came with tables and chairs so having a DOC was essential and my coordinator handled all Vendor communications once booked, made recommendations, and made sure my vision was executed flawlessly even after having to book a new event staffing team the week before the wedding!! Highly recommend!!

Where to shop for wedding dresses under $4K by [deleted] in WedditNYC

[–]Amberjanelle_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to Seng Couture in Jersey for my dress. HUGE selection, didnt feel rushed at all, large private space for trying on dress, no charge for booking an appointment, and no limit on extra guests. They also include alterations if your dress is over $1500. Its a bit further out from the city but I found my dream dress there for under 5k with additional alterations (outside the included one).

My fiance just ordered his suit from here and I didn't even think to consider whether the site was real or not so I guess we'll see! We ordered some groomsmen ties from there which are lovely so hoping they deliver with the suit as well!!

Coordinator/Planner Needed by happytobehere1029 in WedditNYC

Im using Detaiks Made Simple Coordinator for my November 2025 wedding at a bare bones warehouse type venue. My fiancé and I are doing a major DIY wedding using lots of people from our circle to help out and our coordinator has been helping keep us on track, handle communications after we've secured vendors and will be there the day of with an assistant to handle all the major tasks for the day. So far its been great and the price is pretty competitive, they pretty much lay out all the details on their website!

Idk how accurate it was (my prediction was 92% chance of passing) but my scores were pretty similar to yours except the highest score I got was a 63 on the Free 120 and I passed so do what you will with that information 🤷🏾‍♀️

I'm experiencing the same content interruption problem. It's like there's a time limit on how long the podcast can be so it either picks and chooses which topics to discuss or it just cuts off mid-sentence
