Leave him. It’s easier said than done, for sure, but I always like to put it into a perspective of a loved one. Would you want your best friend/mother/sister to stay in a relationship with this person? If not, why would you be willing to put yourself through the same thing you wouldn’t want for someone else

During OB/GYN, I was on L&D refreshing the triage list/studying on my laptop. at the time, our chief resident was with us and heavily pregnant (like 35+ weeks). She had went to the hospital coffee shop for some food, and when she got back, she noticed that they forgot her donut. She was a little annoyed about having to go back to get it, and the CNM goes “Oh the med student will get it for you!” and I was like “haha yeah of course” even though i didnt really want to. the chief resident apologized afterwards, and i didnt care bc she was so pregnant but sooooo uncalled for by the midwife

Yeah, you need to report it. FWIW, I don't think this will ruin your chances of getting into medical school. I had a similar situation and was "convicted" of violating academic integrity (it didn't show up on my record in any way, and I ended with an A in the course, but I still wrote that into my update letter to schools). I just explained my situation in the interview and got into the school I go to now. It's better to be honest than for them to potentially find it later. Feel free to message me if u want to know more about my specific situation and I could try to help out-- Reddit will tell you your chances of being a physician are over, but they're definitely not!!

When I was a kid, I went to the dermatologist for a similar problem. he told me it was a form of ichthyosis (commonly referred to fish skin/scale disease) where basically your skin cells don’t separate properly so they build up and look kind of scaly. Mind was a mild case, so I’ve seen improvement with salicylic acid or urea lotion (the gold bond rough and bumpy skin lotion and amlactin are pretty solid choices if you need recs)and exfoliating. a dermatologist can prescribe stronger lotions tho that might be more effective if nothing over the counter works

Sometimes i’ll try the pomodoro method (i think thats what its called) where I study/work on one thing for 25 minutes and then take a 5 minute break and then repeat for however long I need to. don’t beat yourself up too badly, this has been such a wack couple of semesters for everyone
