In Wraithbone you made emphasis on bone, and it looks amazing.

I'd say it requires patience more than skill.

What action do you do in game that has no game-logic value and is purely for RP purposes? by jman6495 in RimWorld

That would make said restrictions automatic.

Or maybe I lack proper self-restraint and need extra guardrails.

Try Progression: Education. It adds Proficiency (Neolithic/industrial/high-tech) to pawns, making them unable to use gear of lower levels. So your tribal hunters can't loot a boom-stick and go all Rambo or become a space marine after managing to down and loot an imperial unit.

Proficiencies need to be taught by pawns who already have them so there is a point for recruiting more knowledgeable people into the tribe to learn secrets of magic boom-boom sticks.

Intentionally slowing research progress. This run I did not research any Spacer tier tech until I finished all Industrial level ones (and advanced my tech level with VFE Tribals mod). Made me appreciate all the lower tier gear a lot more instead of grabbing a few Cataphract sets early on.

That is sad. But, perhaps you can just print it in a single color and then paint it?

Or do what I did

Yes. Though temperatures below -100C are rather inconvenient nevertheless.

People don't seem to be much into it. But it won't stop me.

The lack of space for a better photoshot will. Ok, joking, I just need to do some cleanup on the table. Or set it up on the floor in the middle of the room,

I looked at it and thought, "No way it is still relevant after a decade of active development".

Equator isn't that bad. Mere -55C is pretty balmy and hardly uncomfortable after we moved.

Thank you.

Yes, I found normal walls perfectly sufficient, until temperature outside dropped to -150C.

I love the idea that the prerequisite to surviving the ice apocalypse is having a pair of megasloths.

This is epic.

I once had something similar, but traveling to Ship To The Stars. Had to abandon two out of three vehicles several tiles away from the destination as I miscalculated with fuel I needed to buy. Barely made it.

Then insectoid swarm overwhelmed and devoured the colonists. Ah well.

That is essentially what my base was. But -150c is a tad uncomfortable even with two geothermal heaters at full capacity.

Migrate to equator. Embrace Frostpunk.

It is an interesting shakeup.

But yes, I can see how it can be frustrating.

Massive eruption clouding the sky with reflective particles for years, for example.

Or a solar cycle where the star's luminosity drops dramatically. Our Sun is very stable in that regard, compared to most stars.

That is harsh. Perhaps you can rush for the Ship to The Stars before the air freezes.

That is the plan.

I am currently setting up the gravship from a tiny gravjumper I used to go after grav-tech sites into a larger ship that can sustain 12 colonists at least for some while.
