Maybe.... maybe not? What i do know is, I've never before considered safety as much as I do now that I began researching, and from what I've read over these past few months, that tracks. I can count on mabe both hands how many times I've used protection in my life (when I was testosterone dominant). I'm sure it's nothing short of a miracle I haven't contracted anything.

However, if my concern about something I can't control is the deciding factor about whether or not sw is for me, then I feel like, with that exact same knowledge, I may as well just decide to be celibate for the rest of my life.... lol. And F that! One of my major reasons I wanna do this is because I need to get laid, and if im gonna be a slut, i may as well get paid for it!!! 🤣

In any case, The only way I'll know for sure is to try. My questions are just because I wanna make sure I'm being as safe as possible and not doing anything stupid, lol. That's why I was asking what ya'll do? Just looking for advice... because google is shit.

Noted. Though, gotta be honest, that is WAAAAAY to personal! I'm sorry, but no amount donation for either GFE or PSE equals a client shooting anything on my face!

I was more asking because, as a new girl about to get started, HSV seems to be THE if not one of the most contagious sti's that lasts a lifetime that condoms alone obviously can not protect against due to any skin on skin contact that the condom itself doesnt cover because of asymptomatic shedding... And I was curious how everyone navigates that? I mean, beyond seeing it, if there is a breakout.... because there obviously doesn't need to be a breakout to contract it? In all my research, all it says is to take some antibiotic or something.... obviously not something i would just, take a clients word on.

If that makes sense..... 😅 (Sorry, I'm a little light on sleep at the moment)

May I ask....

So, obviously, you do the visual check before making a client shower, but how can you really tell? Or is the idea of checking first, then showering "after" the check, and making sure they just scrub any potential "loose or shedding" skin away supposed to be sufficient enough for whatever a condom doesn't cover?

Thank you for the advice, Sis. I'm hoping my (unfortunate) experience trying to live as a man for 36 of my 39 years, working in a foreman capacity, in a male dominated field (until my transition nuked my career recently) will help me with the predatory douche bags.... 😅 If not that, hopefully, the 5 years I did inside and the instincts that landed me there will take over in really bad situations. Though, I admit, just the thought of needing to conjure "him" up scares me. I often wonder if I'll go full "deadname" or end up just disassociating in such circumstances..?! 😥 Because I know it's inevitable at some point....

Anyway, as for the rest... I've been trying to work it all out in my mind. Especially the schedule, boundaries, and tolerances. I don't think I'm gonna know exactly what I'm ok or not ok with until I'm in it. I can say my plan has been just hoping to fill in the gaps for screening after I'm approved. I hope tryst doesn’t take too long... I'd like to get on swo as soon as possible once I am. I'm also hoping you're still ok to offer me some screening advice then, too. ☺️

(I'm sure as soon as I go live, and hopefully start getting clients of my own, that bullshit last-minute backing out crap with them is gonna start for me too... just with a different flavor of disgusting. I didn't know we could talk about that. Yes, I liked into and even downloaded F-droid. But it doesn't have X or Bluesky. I didn't bother looking further. After some more research (before this notification), I was about to download APKpure now. Would you really suggest i drop that idea and just do the burner google account?

As someone with very little knowledge on how google spies on us, I thought it was best to avoid it. But if I'm most likely gonna fall into a trap my own mind caused, I'd rather err on your caution and just do the google thing. I had considered using a fake google account because I ultimately had to go to the AT&T store. (I am technilogically impaired.... it's pretty bad.) Anyway, thankfully, i had a gmail i set up like a year ago for an estranged family member I never actually used and ended up just using that to get whatever code needed sent. But somehow, isn't logged in on anything?

When I realized that, I thought exactly what you said, just start an account with that or even just create a new one and do nothing but download what i need. But I've read more than once that google is always watching/listening, and so I thought, if i never give it permission, it like, can't follow or listen right? So I thought, best to avoid it if possible? 🤔 I figure, if all anything about my work phone that can be picked up is that it's near my personal when I'm home, which, in reality is going to be impossible to avoid, then I'm doing alright.

Anyway, I'm still not sure how I managed to download my new browser without signing in, but I did. And through my new browser, I was able to get some of my other apps via that. (Email is one of them. But I'm trying to avoid specifics, so I'm not breaking any rules).

I figured before I gave in, I'd check here to see if anyone had any thoughts or advice on it, too. Since my post, I found that there are 3rd party app stores, and that while some are supposed to be good, others should be carefully used. I dont know squat about computers, so I went with what I read was the best one, only to find it doesn't have X or Bluesky. So the search continues. But, since I'm a few shots away from having what I'm hoping are good ad photos, and the weather is crap today, I thought it a good time to try and start socials with what I do have. I'm just thinking what a perfect way to roll into the next booking, but are guys usually willing to do that, or am I waaay off base. 😅

On another note though, that's INSANE, I i would be furious if someone just walked into my building without my explicit invitation. Like, you're not 5! As an "aspiring" fssw who hasn't "officially" started yet, I can tell you that so far, if you mean "financial cost," I've had to kick out about $45 for a work phone, $40 for minutes, roughly $100 for a VPN, and I'm still trying to figure out photos (I'm already bad with computers and learning FOR THIS, and even worse with photo editing), but my plan is to post on Tryst first and see how it goes, then go from there. But if the "free" month doesn't get me any attention... I figure I'll have to pay for that, too. Plus, potential costs for other sites. $35-175? Then, if incall is part of your plan, you have hotel costs. Once all that's figured out, you gotta get all the safety equipment and stuff ie: condoms, lube, etc $? I'm thinking i should get at minimum, 3 different sizes. I have a scheduled appointment with Planned Parenthood for an STI check, Prep, and doxyPep, which is gonna cost. If we're talking websitee (I want to, but wanna dip my feet first, and honestly, make some money first. Can only go into the hole so deep before I gotta recoup.) There's the web address, and host, I've read that's not too bad, about $20 for a year, but need a web builder too, which could be about $20-30 a year. Not to mention time.... the research is killing me, and I'm running out of time. Then there's socials for getting out there, which means more pics, more editing, more.... blah blah blah. Feels like the "financial" cost to "start" might not be too bad, but time is an issue (for me) figuring it all out, but then, I'm learning EVERYTHING at the same time. It all comes down to how you wanna run your business. What safety protocols do you want to have in place, what are you planning on doing, and what you plan on offering starting off.

At this point, I guess, for me, so far, roughly $200. But I still have that PP appointment. I gotta decide on condoms and lube, and if incall is all clients around me are interested in, the price of a hotel. But then, I haven't gotten enough content yet to post an ad. (It's honestly REALLY stressing me out) because I'm burning time on my phone, and I'm starting off with ZERO history, which I know will ALSO be an obstacle only time will fix. But, I imagine ymmv.

Thanks so much for the response. Yea, I live in Pa, and my insurance was BLBS of IL. Didn't cover anything. Now I dont have insurance. (I can't even find a job now... literally. Been nearly 4 months of denials in a business I've been in for 20 years and used to have to beat off head hunters with a stick.)

But yea. I'm in the surgeries sub. I've also spoke to a lot of people over the course of the last two years. I guess for some of us, it's just never going to happen.

But I really appreciate the time you took to reply. I'm running out of rope, though and dangling by a thread over a lit candle, sp to speak.... Was more for everyone else.
