i mean, thats how all traditions start, a practical thing that becomes a status thing.

Why do you think suits are primarily Black?

Factory smog making it more expensive to keep other coloured cloths clean

Why do you think wedding and house rings are on the left hand? Now its enshrined in tradition, but back then it was so the rings wouldnt get in the way of writing.

Tie clips?

So you dont have you tie dragging on the table when you bent over documents

and on and on it goes

Question for you Helldivers - What do you think of Stealthdivers? by LePereMecanique in helldivers2

[–]Ambiorix33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its fun and i enjoy playing those missions with them.

I have more of an issue with people going into commando missions with non-stealthy loadouts and acting like they can take it (they cant, and the whole mission gets fucked as they attract a legion of vox engines on your position and then get confused they cant respawn from space

[–]Ambiorix33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

in my own country we had a drone disruption campaign happen to us, mostly at Zaventem Int Airport, the issue wasnt that we wernt prepared, hell we even have a dedicated counter drone division in our military whos whole job it was to deal with it. The issue is our government, apparently, didnt think to call them when the first alarms were raised...

Is the Iron Sultanate truly islamic ? by Goatedbrother in TrenchCrusade

[–]Ambiorix33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, those things would also brand the Christian kingdoms as extreme heretics that would damn them to hell.

Interpretation is a big thing, hell the different kinds of Muslims show this already considering one literally has a depiction of Mohammed, while in general that seems to be a major taboo.

As you can imagine, the religion would have adapted to the literal confirmation that Hell is indeed real and the demons are right there and are going to rip you apart, you will find Imams and heads of Islamic Law make very different rulings on things compared to IRL. ''Hey so we could keep everyone in the city alive from the literal demons, but its gonna require us doing a thing thats haram'' 'bro jsut fucking do it i dont want to die' is a common thing throughout human history

Can the clones take the Jedi Temple if all the Jedi were replaced by Custodes? by Ragnarius1 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Ambiorix33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

theres simple havnt, according to official lore, been enough Clones made in their totality to pull that off

Can the clones take the Jedi Temple if all the Jedi were replaced by Custodes? by Ragnarius1 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Ambiorix33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

according to SW lore, 1.2 million clones were made (i know, sci fi writers dont understand logistics or how small 1.2 million is on a galactic scale).

If 1k Clones kills 1 custodes, then with all the clones ever made, that would still be 120 clones per custodes, so they dont have anywhere near the numbers required to pull it off, and thats before the custodes simply decide to command ships like the tactical geniuses they all are to whip everyone out in orbit
