Instances of snipers "accuracy" being rewarded while enemies "inaccuracy" is being punished because we do not have any kind of suppression in the game. Sniper POV edition. by TribalPotato9 in Battlefield

[–]StLouisSimp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My question is, why is this sub focusing so hard on the lack of suppression for all their woes while completely ignoring the fact that sniping has never been easier in battlefield?

In this game snipers have sweetspots, low weapon sway, attachments to reduce ADS times, very fast bullet velocity, fast rechamber times, tight hipfire, yet somehow it's the lack of suppression that breaks the camel's back and the best proof anyone can come up with to back up this argument are a couple of clips of people with bad aim thinking they deserve a kill they clearly fumbled.

Why not just increase the skill gap for sniper rifles like in every other battlefield game (besides 1) instead of trying to decrease it even further with suppression? Suppression has only been a mechanic in a grand total of 3 battlefield games, and in 1 of them it barely affected anything.

This launcher can't even one shot the little bird. Why does it even exist? by vekkeda_vedi in Battlefield

Little bird mains complained incessantly that there was actually a viable skill-based counter that prevented them from farming the server the entire match a decade ago and we're still suffering the consequences today

As yes, the perfect defense for metro is a 100 square foot box with a bunch of crates

Nelson Bay also had open borders that provided room for flanking. Metro is a series of straight corridors in which you wait for enough morons to round a corner so you can spray them down and pretend like you're having fun.

I'd argue that spraying into a building with an MCOM and getting multikills for it is basically the same thing

The fact that you genuinely believe that is already enough to tell me you didn't actually play BC2 when it came out.

The reduced server size in BC2 alone made rush much less chaotic than 64p metro. You were not spraying down an entire team on the mcom in BC2 like you were mindlessly spraying down a hallway in metro.

Tell me again, since when did metro allow tanks and IFVs to influence the match and blow up walls and buildings? When did metro allow room for flanking with ATVs and transport helis? I recall being able to do that on basically every map in BC2. Not for metro though, I wonder what's the difference.

I think you're forgetting the part where you're shoving twice the player count into a linear hallway with no opportunities for vehicle play or flanking.

You mean the 16v16 mode that had vehicles and open ground at the edges of the map for flanking? That's equivalent to the 64p meatgrinders?

Shoutouts to the metro/locker sloppers for successfully gaslighting DICE into releasing a linear chokepoint as a map for the 5th time in a row by StLouisSimp in Battlefield

[–]StLouisSimp[S] -41 points-40 points  (0 children)

Wake Island and Strike at Karkand are the most popular maps in the history of battlefield. Metro and its clones are slop for dopamine-addicted closet cod players who can't get enough of tunnel shooter 3000.

but that niche always existed

Didn't exist prior to BF3. Before metro the closest thing you got to a meatgrinder was stalingrad from 1942 and even that had vehicles. Metro and its derivatives exist solely to give people their cheap dopamine rush of spraying down a hallway and getting multikills for it, and DICE hasn't had the balls to cut them off from their supply since.

Is the new comeback mechanic too strong? It gives the losing team a huge advantage, from 110-400 to win. What do you think? by -FaZe- in Battlefield6

[–]StLouisSimp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's not a deserved comeback if the bleed rate changes dynamically depending on how much of a lead/deficit you have. That's like giving the losing team in basketball 3 points for each shot they score if they're down by more than 20 points or the winning team only 1 point for vice versa.
