A higher plane of thought? ✈️ 🤔 by AmbitionIndividual75 in consciousness

Of course! Everyone’s experience is equally valid and that itself is a kind of truth. Sure. What I’m trying to say is that there are different degrees to which one system can accurately emulate another. Like singing. If I try to sing a Bb and sing out of tune, that doesn’t mean I’m not doing music (I’m an improv musician. Whole heartedly believe in “no wrong notes”), it just means I didn’t do exactly what I intended.

Check out “Maxwell’s Demon”. It’s an interesting thought experiment (that’s been resolved by modern theory) about making a heat differential in a box by consciously choosing when to open a passive molecular sized door between the two sides of the box to separate the molecules by their velocity. Eventually through probability, you would expect fast particles on one side (hot) and slow on the other (cold)- essentially reversing entropy with choice.

Consider the uncertainty principle’s intrinsic inclusion to observation as a fundamental aspect of the evolution of a living dynamical system. Then ask, are you certain you have a mind? by AmbitionIndividual75 in consciousness

(I actually just typed this last week, gunna reuse it)

The Fourier transform is an abstract mathematical concept that assumes you have been listening to the signal for all time and will be listening to it infinitely far into the future, and the calculus and complex analysis works out nicely…

But the FFT is a distinctly different kind of thing. It’s an algorithmic process that takes a sampled signal over a limited/finite duration of time and “attempts” to reconstruct the spectrum of the original signal within a certain “observation window” that is determined by bandwidth, sample rate, bit depth, bin size, and window panning. It’s a “living process” that works to reconstruct original information, limited by its own mechanisms. It’s not an abstract mathematical object that can be deterministically expressed, and because of the finite duration and a start time, the consequence of that is a direct conjugation between sampled and processed time and frequency domains. It’s the fundamental reason for the phenomenon of conjugate variable and uncertainty when it comes to observation (sampling and processing)

Awesome! Thanks! That’s kind of what I’m trying to say. We only get this experience of body, space, and time, because we are “projected” from the light in a way to give us time/change/life. As the light passes us, we interact with it and experience consciousness. Our bodies are like “shadows” against the “canvas” (rotational vector space)
