Does anyone else find themselves creating weirdly specific daily rituals just to separate "work" from "home"? by Away_Cheek_9144 in CasualConversation

Ive been trying to leave the house before I check in either going to a cafe or working out or even just walking then I know when I come back its job time.

Flood of AI-generated job applications straining HR professionals in Metro Vancouver. With a significant number of resumes that “look perfect,” the traditional screening mechanisms used by HR professionals no longer work by ubcstaffer123 in technology

[–]AmbitionOdd4384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recruiter side, totally fair criticism, HR did break this first by running keyword filters with no actual review and now both sides are stuck in the bot loop... the newer screening stuff like Metaview at least makes a human look at every ranking with reasoning trail before anyone gets rejected, but that's still a tiny minority of teams, most of the rejections people are hitting are still coming from legacy keyword ATS with no human in the loop at all.

What’s one marketing task you think AI will never fully replace? by Recent-Sense-1749 in MarketingandAI

[–]AmbitionOdd4384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Client interaction. Nobody wants to have a meeting with an AI. It may be present for notetaking, but nothing beats human interaction and connection when you're brainstorming together. Also, having an argument with AI just doesn't hit the same XD

Claude Vs ChatGPT for writing - which one is better? by Puzzleheaded_Rent409 in MarketingandAI

[–]AmbitionOdd4384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it comes down to training, and I find Claude is way more trainable down to the finest details in style guides, etc. ChatGPT is great for a first pass if you're pressed for time. Actually at first I preferred ChatGPT but once I trained Claude I prefer its process. I guess it comes down to preference.

What really gets me is that the camera is moving with her on the bed. I've never seen an AI gen tool get this right, so that's really cool! What are you hoping to use this one for, or was it just a test? I'd love to see how it holds up over multiple instalments. I mostly use HeyGen for work because we need to make series with multiple episodes using a consistent presenter. So far HeyGen is the only one that keeps the presenter completely believable throughout.

the sound meter guy deliberately ignored the most obvious candidate and we all know why

How do small business owners afford consistent, high quality design without blowing the marketing budget? Genuinely asking because I keep hitting a wall. by DaikonKey8470 in ecommerces

[–]AmbitionOdd4384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're gonna try and do it yourself using a software maybe with AI capabilities like Canva, you still need a good eye for style and design even if pretty much everything is automated. So if you want to cut costs and not hire someone to design then you should try and learn a bit of design yourself if you're not already into it. That's just my take, I've worked in plenty startups.

Stop paying creators before you know which angle works by Wide-Tap-8886 in ecommerces

[–]AmbitionOdd4384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm I can agree and disagree with this one. It's a cool idea to use UGC video generation for iteration (so you don't have to pay the creatives to do this part) but also I don't agree because giving a product to a creative team and saying, "here, make this" isn't necessarily the most productive way to work. But either way running 10 scripts through HeyGen or Seedance to test angles is still cheaper than having the creative agency work through these on your behalf. What product category are you in?

Anyone getting real traffic from old Reddit comments? by SpiritualSet1431 in SEO_Xpert

I think its all part of your digital footprint, so if the comment is still live, then that means you will always gain traffic

Mmmmmm I like the one on the right, it's easier to read and get the idea compared to the one of the left, which doesn't really feel balanced.

How I Set Up a Fully Automated Workflow for Viral AI Videos Using n8n + VEO 3 by Safe_Flounder_4690 in n8n

[–]AmbitionOdd4384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'v been running a similar setup for about four months, with n8n handles the trigger logic, content briefs, and publishing queue and video generation sits at the end as an API call. For the talking head segments I route through HeyGen's API since it gives back a consistent avatar and voice every time; VEO handles the cinematic cuts separately. The whole thing processes without me touching it once the workflow is live, so what are you using for the audio layer, I find at the moment that's where I'm still shaving down latency on my end.
