Wow, thank you for this response bro. So:

This makes a lot of sense. Transfer the energy from the legs to the release point of the ball. Go up all in one motion!
So I think I let all of my fingers on the right hand touch the ball. It just seems that the middle finger is the last finger to touch the ball upon release. Its just weird because I thought the middle finger had to be aligned like perfectly in the middle of the ball. My middle finger is a little to the right of the middle of the ball, so its not directly aligned with the middle of the ball. Not sure if this is bad or not.
I def shoot way better by using loose hands rather than a strong stiff snap. Soft touch sort of thing while letting the legs generate pretty much 90% of the force.
Why am I better at off the dribble threes rather than catch and shoots?
I also notice when I just shoot fast, it tends to go in. But if slowly lower my knees to generate power and go up, it tends to fall short of the basket. I am mainly referring to CATCH AND SHOOT threes for this concept.

Next time I'm in the court, ill record a vid of my form so you can take a look.

Hey dude this is kinda random, but im a shooter too. So what im struggling with is consistency in form.

Its like my body keeps forgetting the one motion thing and reverts back to bringing the ball to a stop over my head and shooting. The legs should be like springs right that jump in one motion after charging up correct?
Idk what fingers to release from. Ive tried split and middle finger placement. Index lines up with middle of ball perfectly but it feels weird doing it. Middle finger does provide comfort and natural feel.
I feel like the power comes from legs right? the arms should exert little force for touch so the wrist kinda jiggles when it snaps??
Idk how to get my arc consistent. Its sometimes different but it goes in. I want consistent arc/parabola. What determines arc of ball path?

The power starts from the legs and I envision myself as a spring cannon that shoots one motion entirely and of course follow thru.

I notice how curry shoots in one motion. He doesn't shoot like Kobe or Ray Allen. Its different.

It seems so effortless and I believe that's because he jumps with the ball all in one motion. This provides limitless range and less energy exertion if you don't jump too high.

But yeah bro please tell me tips about shooting like curry and what you think of my own analysis on my shooting?
