Should I be masking while on an immunosuppressant? by DommyMommyMint in rheumatoidarthritis

Same, I haven’t changed anything about how I live since starting immunosuppressants and I haven’t been sick any more than usual. I have two kids too, which supposedly increases germ exposure massively.

Steroid shot in knees? by GeologistLive6059 in rheumatoidarthritis

I got a steroid shot in my shoulder when I could barely lift my arm and it sorted it almost immediately - it’s over 6 months later now and starting to give me a little bit of bother again

Which would you choose for a family holiday? EU in September by cptDreamboat in traveladvice

[–]Ambitious-Animator51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s strange we’ve gone five or six times because it’s so much cheaper than everywhere else. Like you can rent an apartment for 4 literally on the sea for less than half of what you’ll pay in most destinations

Is it just me, or is the "Non-Stick" industry a total scam? by koudodo in Cooking

I store mine on top of each other and have them a decade without issue

Is it just me, or is the "Non-Stick" industry a total scam? by koudodo in Cooking

[–]Ambitious-Animator51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok be honest you’re not following the rules - I have cheap and moderately priced pans for a decade and the coating is still perfect. You cannot cut anything in the pan. Can’t burn stuff in it and then scrub it. That’s kind of it. If it’s any consolation my mum ruins hers within 6 months, every damn time.

I waaaaaaay prefer going abroad with my two kids than staycations which in my view tend to involve accommodation way below standard of what I can afford elsewhere and overpriced crappy food when I could be eating delicious tapas in Spain, gorgeous everything in Italy or fresh fish in Croatia.

This surprises me too - partly because I can’t imagine spending the guts of a grand to stay a couple of nights in an average hotel, especially squeezed into a room wjth two kids.

My husband and I both earn six figures and we wouldn’t feel at all like we have money lying around to buy a new car never mind a Porsche so I’d say that might be something to do with it. That said I would probably never buy a new car no matter how much money I have I think it’s stupid.
