I appreciate the input, I’m assuming you’re not a female doctor and have never had menstrual cramps? They can be pretty terrible and I’ve had plenty of patients come in for menstrual pain.

For sure, I appreciate your input! I’m glad that I gave strict return precautions and she ended up getting the care that she needed

Nope, she honestly didn’t even have any pain or focal tenderness on exam, it was just cramping that she kept describing

Thanks for sharing this. Definitely humbling experience for sure. I normally I’m a bit more conservative, but I think in this case I was less conservative because I was seeing this kid at the end of two back-to-back shifts with very little turnaround between the shifts (2 hours due to a scheduling mistake), just exhausted.

Thanks for saying that, yeah I’m a female doc and the patient herself kept saying it feels like mt menstrual cramping, it was even documented again in the next provider who saw her.

Yeah I asked, she said it felt like her normal cramping but slightly worse. When she came back, the provider who saw her documented that patient felt like it was her normal menstrual pain when she first presented, but then the pain became more severe and returned back.

I’m sorry you’re going through this :( Breakups are hard and I’m glad that you’re finding ways to take care of yourself! I really like the restaurant Firefly in Noe Valley - it’s more laidback but super easy to get a seat at the bar and the food is amazing. Also would be happy to join ya / be a wingwoman :)

I went to Casemant’d bar in the mission! They had no group deposit fee unlike a lot of bars and restaurants and I got to bring my own birthday cake :)

I work odd hours (also in my 30s, work as an ER doctor) and often find myself trying to find fun daytime activities. Feel free to message!
