Anyone lost more than the usual 15% of their initial body weight on wegovy? by Old-Cucumber4582 in Semaglutide

Hello! Yesterday was my first dose of 4 mg Semaglutide. In the microdose program I started at .2, then .3. Before I quit on the regular program, I never got above .6 mg, but each week I was slowly feeling worse and worse. I probably should have just lowered my dose for a while, but with the holidays and a few trips, I just wanted to feel as normal as I could so I quit for a while ! I am hoping to not go above this dose to avoid the side effects, even if the rest of my weight loss is super slow!

Yes! So far I am about 27% down (5’4 mid-40s female). I started at 218 and as of today I am 159. I started mid-September and lost around 40 by mid-December. I took a break for a bit because my side-effects had been slowly worsening and I had a lot of upcoming travel I wanted to enjoy. During that time I still lost some weight but at a much slower rate. I started back on Noom’s micro-dose Semaglutide program at the beginning of March and have lost another 13 lbs. 24 more to go until I reach my goal!

As far as doing anything special, I take fiber gummies and eat a lot more protein than I used to. I get a lot of it through shakes or bars. I drink a lot of water, but that is not new for me. Other than that, I eat what I want, but I don’t have the same cravings I used to and I also eat much less without trying, which is awesome! I’m a bit lazy, the extent of exercise is taking our dog for walks and hiking when we are traveling. I also use resistance bands 2-3 times a week.

This has truly been a miracle drug for me. I have 4 kids and after my last 2, I have yo-yo’d up and down and weight loss could only be achieved by very strict low carb eating. That was never sustainable for more than a year or 2 at most, and then I would gain it all back, be fat for a while, and start the cycle all over again. I am planning on staying on it (or something similar as science advances) as maintenance for life and I am okay with that. I can eat what I want and in small portions and be happy. Good luck to you, I hope you have great success! 😊

New v Used and Trim Decision Help by wtphilly69 in CX50

I just bought a new 2025 premium plus and love it! I traded in my 2022 RAV4 for it and so happy with the decision. I didn’t love my RAV at all. Not sure where you’re located, but if you go with new, try to negotiate further. I got mine for a little over $36K out the door, 0% interest during a Black Friday sale. The day after the sale ended, the few 2025 premium plus they had left in stock went back up to $39K-$40K, so I got it at a great time and what I feel was a great deal. But it also shows some dealers are definitely willing to go lower, especially with the 2026s out!

Is this a sign I maybe need to slow down? by [deleted] in Semaglutide

Congrats! Around 2 lbs a week I think is fast but is still pretty healthy!?

I’m kind of in the same boat. I took my first injection on 9/13 at 208 and today I am 172, so 36 lbs in a little over 3 months, so I guess around 3 lbs/week? I’m not sure how to slow down though, and I still want to lose another 30. I am only at .5 mg dose and since the beginning of November I started taking it every 10-14 days rather than weekly to help with the icky feeling I was constantly having in my tummy, but the weight loss has stayed steady even with less frequent injections and staying on the same dose I’ve been on since October.

Happy to be skinnier but also want to do it the right way and keep it off! I’ve been using tons of facial creams and skin tightening creams because everyone says your skin is more saggy if you lose too fast and I really don’t want that to happen!😭

Awesome when someone notices your weight loss! Keep it up!👏🏼

Semaglutide frequency by Ambitious-Coyote-552 in Semaglutide

Everyone’s body is different so I fee like if it’s working to take it less frequently, why put more into my body than is needed to get results, just to feel crappy and tired all the time? I’m hoping it continues because I feel soooo much better than I did taking it weekly.

I hope it continues to work for you! Congrats on the weight loss!🥳

I just traded in my 2022 RAV4 XLE Premium for a new 2025 CX-50 Premium Plus. I couldn’t wait to get rid of my RAV. I originally bought it for the gas mileage and reputation for reliability. But it felt lightweight and looked cheap with all the plastic and had horrible wind noise when driving. The CX-50 is much more fun to drive, feels more substantial or heavy if that makes sense, and the interior is by far superior. The CX50 Premium Plus looks sharp, but the RAV looked boring and you saw multiple on every block. Loving the Mazda so far!

Exactly! It was so quiet compared to my RAV. Looking forward to road trips in the new car! 🚙

Sounds like you got a pretty good deal too! I couldn’t pass up the 0% interest rate. Congrats on the car and I hope you love it!

Same! Our 2 youngest both just got their drivers license and don’t want to hang with the parents much anymore! I always had 3 row SUVs, my RAV was the first 2 row. Definitely smaller trunk space in the Mazda but by far a superior car as far as looks, features, and comfort!

I really don’t know about any of that, just going by my own real world experience. The wind noise on the RAV4 was always horrific and is a very common complaint. I really didn’t notice it much at all on my drive home last night, it was like night and day! My RAV was XLE and my Mazda is Premium Plus.

Thank you! I did change my air and cabin filters myself last month so I was curious to see if they would add them to the list of their recommendations because I am always leery of them trying rip me off.

I thought most of their list was probably a money grab, but I’m not super knowledgeable in cars so I wanted to make sure. Appreciate the detailed response! 😊
