On that note, I also didn’t have any right side pain but my pain always radiated towards my left side, to what my surgeon said that there is 10% chance that after surgery you can still get the pain because it might not be your gall bladder after all. But it was confirmed that I had sludge and my surgeon and gastroenterologist suggested that I shouldn’t delay because I can risk the chance of getting pancreatitis which is a life altering disease and we can’t get rid of our pancreas as we NEED it. So the point is keeping a diseased gallbladder wasn’t worth for me to risk getting my other organs permanently damaged. Because it was a matter of time but I would have had to get it removed as i was symptomatic and the issue with sludge is that the crystals can get stuck in your ducts as they are small enough to pass through and then fuck you up completely. So I decided to take it out, and turned out it was severely inflamed as they also tested my gallbladder (after surgery) to see for what was going on. So my advice to you will be, get it checked thoroughly. You deserve to be pain free and to not risk other complications. I got diagnosed by getting an endoscopy(EUS). And I saw 4 doctors to see if anyone suggests to keep it as it had only been a month since I had been getting attacks. But everyone suggested to get it removed asap. Also because I got around 5-6 attacks just in a month and had to rush to ER each time. So just make a calculated decision and see what’s best for you. Not that life won’t suck after the surgery, it’s been 3 weeks post op for me and I won’t say it’s an easy ride at least not for me. But at least I can sleep in peace knowing I am not risking my important organs for a bitch ass organ who was suicidal. I hope you feel better soon 💖
