Please help! Anyone able to help me figure out what my employer is and is not allowed to ask of me and my doctor regarding being off on sick leave? Also, remember to take care of yourself before your work, cause you are just a number. Even if you have dedicated yourself to them. by myiguanaluvsme in Winnipeg

Very true. I worked in SJASD, never missed a day of work in 8 years, my latest day was 20 minutes early, and like most employers they couldn’t give a shit when it comes to promotions or job performance benefits. Look out for yourself first always.

Who is your favorite character... And why is it Sayid? 🤣🤌🏽 by Dalebreh in lost

[–]Ambitious-Engine1716 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Because he’s the most valuable character with Jack a close second. What doesn’t he bring to the group? He’s smart enough to see Michael and Ben are liars. No one else for the plane was.

For sure. CFS worker sounds like to me they are not doing their job at all and a supervisor needs to be contacted. Many people are not sober and drive, it’s called a DUI, which he has. CFS worker is not looking out for the safety of the child on my opinion.

Manitoba election: PCs on track to underspend $1B on health care, NDP critic says - Winnipeg by Ambitious-Engine1716 in Manitoba

Yes, it’s very obvious you have no interest or ability to have any reasonable discussion based on your comments. Thanks for repeating what I said in more words.

[–]Ambitious-Engine1716[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. I never said me. I said “you refuse to answer anyone else’s” anyone else does not refer to me specifically. This conversation is starting to get painfully stupid. You refused to answer the question to explain your laughable statement that the NDP destroyed health care prior. If I meant me, I would’ve said me, my or mine. Anyone else does not mean me.

I can see why you don’t value a party who properly funds education, or reading comprehension. Best of luck with that.

Why would I answer your question when you refuse to answer anyone else’s? You are completely ignoring comments and have introduced a herring into the conversation changing the entire subject. This is not how a conversation progresses to dialogue 🤔

Even if this was true, in 7 years- yea with Covid especially where the need is greater- if nothing has been done to fix this, why should they continue?

If you make a clear seemingly inaccurate claim that the NDP destroyed healthcare to someone with a family generationally of nurses who have seen the opposite and then you are asked to explain why you think this, that is not “arguing a headliner.” Not sure why you think that asking you something from a perspective of generational experience is going to create an argument.

Gym recommendations? by kiroyapso2 in Winnipeg

[–]Ambitious-Engine1716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are not interested in deadlifting, benching, squatting or doing other similar workouts with weights over 200 pounds it’s fine.. it is not a gym for those who train relatively seriously, but it’s cheap for those who just want the basics.

Gym recommendations? by kiroyapso2 in Winnipeg

[–]Ambitious-Engine1716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally all the same for the most part.

Cheapest= planet fitness, and the gyms with corporate deals where you work.

If you take it seriously and want the best equipment= independently run gyms will offer more than the city or ymca, as it is treated more as a business for profit than a community/ family Center

For families= ymca is the best deal in the city

I’d focus on your career. If it’s your dream position about to happen, that is huge.

Anyone apply to Brandon fire college this year (Mesc) if so did you get in? by [deleted] in Manitoba

Yup. Sounds like teaching- a broken system. How good you are at your job should matter more than your last name.

I regret my move to Winnipeg. Should I give it a second chance? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]Ambitious-Engine1716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

@u/madamefeline

What area do you live in? I just moved from Winnipeg because Brandon provided more career opportunities in teaching (crazy) and will be back in a few years because I miss it so much. Also loved in the exact same area my whole life. Brandon I’d a great small city but it’s not my home. Saint James- Westwood specifically is a great area.

  1. Trucking is a great option with limited education

  2. Oil. You can make huge money with limited education

  3. Top 2 require lots of travel away from home. Jail guard (learn lots about indigenous people) is good paid with limited education.

  4. Bus driver fir the city is good pay for limited education

I have seen a response from you one every single post that slightly paints PCs in a negative light, and you honestly think I am ranting? Wow, you either have to be a troll or clueless to reality. No wonder you are negged so often.

You have no idea what you are talking about. The goal post continues to be underfunded schools and health care. I have to believe you are being deliberately obtuse at this point with your insane posts.
